Silvercreek residents know how to celebrate the Fourth of July!
We got all decked out in our red,white, and blue to celebrate our wonderful nation's birthday today. We started with a line dancing show with the Movin and Groovin dancers, then ate a DELICIOUS lunch of hot dogs, ribs, potato salad, baked beans, coleslaw, watermelon, and ice cream cones. Our dietary crew rocked today with their festive decorations and wonderful food and service. We followed with listening to the talented South Bound band thanks to Creative Aging. We are blessed to have a good view of Olive Branch's fireworks, so some of us will be going out to enjoy the show.

We had a big week last week starting with Bingo hosted by Camp Shape and the Olive Branch Police Department. The kids were such a huge help and a joy to be around! Then we had a build your own Sundae bar to kick of celebrations for Father's Day. Kylie and her daughters ( and sweet grandbaby) from Cross Point church were an incredible help serving and hanging out with us. Redd, Becky with Desoto Health Care came and did beautiful manicures. A sweet family member donated some delicious cookies for all of the dad's in the building. We ended with an abundant and tasty breakfast bar hosted by our dietary staff.

As Mother's Day approaches this Sunday, we celebrated our own motherhood and honored our mothers with a Mother's Day tea. We enjoyed wonderful conversation and laughter while nibbling on sweet treats that Jessica Presley with Accent Care Home Health, Margaret Blankenship, and Becky Redd with Desoto Health Care brought. We ate delicious miniature sandwiches that Andrea and her team prepared. We sipped different flavors of hot tea while comparing the different dainty china tea cups. Some of us had never had tea in such delicate, beautiful cups before and were delighted by the experience.
Crosspoint Church members were kind enough to help us celebrate as well and even brought sweet door prizes!
John, Margaret and all of our sweet volunteers from Accent Care, Desoto Health Care, Crosspoint Church, and Lynn made us feel incredibly pampered!
Becky and Bobby did an outstanding job getting everyone here. I do believe this is the biggest tea party we have had yet❤️💞💞.

The Movin and Groovin line dance group really knows how to get us up and moving! We were having so much fun even our wonderful dietary department jumped in! Fern, Kate, Barbara, and Bonnie did a fantastic job dancing! They brighten our entire day when they come to visit us! They even brought shirts for our residents that get up and dance with them so they match🥰!

We have had a fun filled Easter week at Silvercreek. We started with our April birthday party hosted by Wendy and Rachel at Gentiva Hospice, we had a blast hunting over 600 eggs at our annual Easter Egg Hunt,and a yummy food craft depicting the tomb after Jesus rose.
Thank you to all of the volunteers and donations from Olive Branch High School, Crosspoint Church, Arden Hospice, F&J Homecare, family, and friends. We could not have made it as special without you!
