Integrative Physical Therapy

Authentic Myofascial Release, as developed by John Barnes, PT, is a whole body, hands on therapeutic approach that is extremely effective for treating acute and chronic pain and providing an improved state of overall wellness. Myofascial Release (MFR) addresses restrictions in the fascial system, which is a 3-dimensional web of connective tissue that runs throughout the entire body. Fascia binds down in response to trauma, poor posture, inflammation, surgical procedures or stress. This creates abnormal pressure and tight areas in the body, leading to pain, stiffness, decreased mobility and limited function. Myofascial Release involves hands on gentle sustained stretching that allows connective tissue to elongate, relieving pressure, decreasing pain and restoring function. Integrative Physical Therapy (IPT) is a unique clinic that specializes exclusively in this alternative form of therapy. Patients receive one-on-one care that is individually customized and a typical treatment lasts about an hour.
