Just a reminder that our Olive Hill clinic is open Monday–Thursday 8am–4:30pm and Friday 8am–12pm for all your healthcare needs — including walk-in visits, Red Light Therapy, SoftWave Therapy, and Occupational Therapy.

Over the next two weeks, you may see some new faces in our Olive Hill office as we train new team members in preparation for our Morehead clinic opening!

📣 Exciting Update!

The opening for Carter Wellness Clinic in Morehead is set for November 20th! 🎉

We’ve had a few bumps in the road (including some damaged red light panels 😅), but we’re working hard to get everything ready so we can open our doors as soon as possible!

Once we’re running at full capacity, our hours will be Monday–Saturday, 8 AM–6 PM.

Scheduling for this location will officially open on Monday! Call (606) 225-4443 for more information!

🚨 **We’ve seen an increase in Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease (HFMD) cases in our office recently.**

Here’s what parents and caregivers should know 👇

**What it is:**
Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease is a common viral illness that mostly affects young children but can spread to adults as well. It’s caused by coxsackievirus and spreads easily through coughing, sneezing, saliva, or contact with contaminated surfaces.

**Symptoms may include:**
• Fever
• Sore throat
• Painful mouth sores or blisters
• Rash or small blisters on hands, feet, or diaper area

**What to do:**
🩺 There’s no specific treatment — focus on comfort care. Keep your child hydrated and offer soft foods if their mouth is sore.
🧼 Wash hands frequently, clean toys and surfaces, and avoid sharing drinks or utensils.
🚫 Children should stay home until fever-free and blisters are healing to prevent spreading the virus.

If you’re unsure whether your child’s symptoms are due to HFMD or another illness, walk in or call Carter Healthcare. We’re here to help you get the right diagnosis and care.
