When we see this — 100+ people prayer circle, we are reminded that what hope, love, and recovery is possible. It is a reminder that it is possible to feel again and heal, to smile, to feel sincere care and concern for another human life, and to be hopeful about the future.

When god began us on this journey, it was with one house, 10 + staff, and a whole love of faith. It was just hope and a vision that god lay so deeply on our hearts.

Through the years, we’ve grown. We’ve seen lives change. We’ve seen parents get their children back, individuals obtain their GED or a college degree, drive again for the first time after a multitude of years, or even rebuild relationships that people once thought was unrepairable. We’ve witnessed them find safe and sober housing, while maintaining employment. We’ve heard stories of parents sleeping more peacefully at night, and children see their parents, without a jail kiosk.

We’ve seen hundreds of people come through our doors, and make meaningful connections, and tools to stay sober. We’ve seen women and men find their god given purpose — and heal. We’ve seen them grow spiritually, mentally, and physically. We’ve witnessed the miracles right in front of our eyes and could weap at the tremendous amount of growth we’ve seen.

Many will tell you the world of treatment is uncertain right now, but as the director, I will tell you that god will make a way. He will make a way, because these are God’s people and their lives matter. Their healing and recovery are important.

We had some amazing Recovery experience on Friday. Our Phase 2, 3 and 4 had a sober fun experience at Kentucky Kingdom.

Some had never experienced an amusement park before. Many said it’s the best fun they have ever had. Recovery is possible and we love spending time with our wonderful clients! It was definitely a day to remember, filled with good memories and laughs.

When we opened several years ago, it was solely because of faith in a bigger mission, to be able to love individuals back to life and see them create a life they aren’t willing to give away today.

The gratitude is busting out of the seams to see this type of joy through a video.

Our Story

A Center 4 Change is a Kentucky based Counseling and Psychotherapy organization. We are a Behavioral Health Service Organization (BHSO), Alcohol and Other Drug Entity (AODE), and CARF accrediated that was established on April 15 of 2016. Our organization currently has locations in Ashland, Grayson, Russell, Olive Hill, and Morehead, Kentucky where we are able to provide a variety of services, so we can meet our clients where they are on life’s journey and assist each of them in the best ways possible.

Our staff takes great pride in being able to provide a range of services in the tri- state area. As an agency, we are able to provide targeted case management, psychotherapy individual sessions, Moral Reconation Therapy groups, DUI assessments and treatment, batterer intervention programs, intensive substance abuse outpatient services, medically assisted treatment, and a variety of unquine and diverse individuals, families, as well as group sessions that are able to meet the needs of not only our clients, but our community a a whole. A Center 4 Change strives to support the whole person by empowering those we serve to help themselves by meeting them where they are to help them develop and utilize the appropriate tools they need to help themselves.

Each member of our staff at A Center 4 Change does understand what it feels like to be broken and being left to put the pieces of ourselves together again. They also know and hope to teach others with the right support, encouragement, tools, and connection, to help assist with gathering the broken pieces, so that the pieces can form something even more beautiful than ever before.
