Renville County Public Health provides a broad range of services to individuals, families and communities to:
- promote a healthy and safe community
- prevent illness, disease and injury, and
- protect and enhance the health of those who live, work, learn and play in Renville County. Renville County Public Health was first established in 1916. The department continues today with the goal of "ma
king a difference" to the people and communities we serve. Services:
• Families and Children –home visiting and programs for parents and children’s health, pregnancy and birth, parenting education, life skills; car seats; concerns with child development.
• WIC Nutrition program –Women, Infant and Children Nutritional Supplement Food Program.
• Home Health Care –Medicare-certified home health care agency provides nurses, home health aides, and therapy to keep you safe in your home.
• Senior Services and People with Disabilities –Case management, Long Term Care Consultation, help finding resources in the community.
• Disease Prevention –diseases and conditions, seasonal flu, immunizations, tuberculosis, fact sheets, prescription drug disposal, how to report diseases or illness.
• Environmental Health and Licensing –licenses for food, pools, lodging, campgrounds, manufactured home parks, tobacco; indoor air and drinking water quality, healthy homes; radon and water tests.
• Healthy Living –nutrition, lifestyles and physical activity, Statewide Health Improvement Program (SHIP), Drug Free communities, RAPAD.
• Emergency Information/Preparedness –individual and family preparedness, emergency response programs.
