💉🩹Vaccine Update for Our Community🩹💉
Until now, adults in Louisiana needed a prescription for the newest COVID vaccine. Why? Because pharmacists here can only give vaccines without a prescription based on ACIP (Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices) guidance. We've been waiting on ACIP to vote on the official recommendation on the 2025-2026 COVID vaccine.

The committee met today and voted in favor ✅ of individual decision making in regard to COVID vaccines. — which means the 2025–2026 COVID vaccine can now be given in Louisiana without a prescription for individuals 17 years and older after weighing risk vs benefit for yourself (or having a discussion with your healthcare provider). Anyone 16 or younger will still require a prescription in Louisiana based on pharmacy vaccination regulations.

💙💛Here at Bullard Drug, we do have the adult COVID vaccine in stock. Don't forget we also have the flu shot along with other CDC recommended vaccines. We also offer home visits and clinics on site for employers. Call or stop by today to talk to one of our pharmacists about vaccinations that may be recommended for you! 💛💙
