This Friday, March 6th, is the last day to donate to our helping others project. The residents are putting together donations for the foster kids closet. We are looking to put together personal care packs, busy bags, and arts and craft bags for kids in our area who are going through family transition. REUSE & REPURPOSE! The residents in our recent arts and crafts class took some scrabble tiles and made banners with their names on them. The intention was to put them on their apartment doors but then they had the idea to add them to our “scrabble decor” in our multipurpose room. They look great!

We’re celebrating Team Member Appreciation Day with a whole week of fun-filled dress-up days. Spirit Week is our way of sharing our team pride with our entire community.

Being an active part of our community is very important to our residents. Today our friend Luci and her community outreach team from North Olmsted Walmart invited us to shop and replenish our BINGO candy and Happy Hour snacks. The ladies were given a budget, had to keep track of our spending and purchase from a variety of sections in the store. Most importantly they had to unpack and put everything away when we got back to the commmunity. As you can see they did an amazing job! They had $7 to spare in their budget and they were very proud of that.

They were also given the task of picking out the birthday cakes and deciding on the color of the decor for our Birthday Bash tomorrow. Walmart is also so generous to donate cake every month to our monthly birthday party.

As a bonus they ventured into the clearance section of the ladies department where they found these sweaters. The wine color immediately attracted them. They took off their coats and began trying them on. Then they made sure not to forget about the two table mates not shopping with us and grabbed two for them. They said they now have uniforms for their club.

The name of the club……THE WINE-RS 🍷🍷🤣 I mean what could be better than this!!!
