Chef Stephanie prepared an extra special luncheon for our resident veterans and family members. A perfectly cooked filet accompanied by a house salad, loaded baked potato, vegetable medley, and finished off with her HOMEMADE pumpkin roll!! This is just a small token of our appreciation for those who served our country! We also had a special treat, one of our veteran’s daughters played the piano and led us in singing some of our patriotic favorites.

Jazzing the place up a bit with our resident’s art work. We have our art gallery displaying “poured paint” canvases we created with the help of our friends from Sanctuary Hospice.

We have leaves cut from the paper we created by painting and pressing leaves from our front yard, then we used tissue paper and contact paper to turn them into suncatchers. (If the sun ever was shining these days they would look really cool.)🤣

And what better to fill the walls, but with all of our smilibg faces!!!

Our first session of tap dancing for fitness. I love how much the residents are taking this all in, following the directions of the instructor, and making noise and having fun!!!

For our November Gastronaut Event of Thanksgiving Nibbles & Bites, Chef Stephanie prepared a wonderful display of yumminess! All things were good, but each and every resident went right to her homemade mini pumpkin pies with whipped cream!! This is evidence that we are ready for all things Thanksgiving!!! 🦃🥧❤️

We also had a fun-filled happy hour with great music from Keith Parker, a little bit of wine, and lots of singing and dancing!!!

As we approach Veteran’s Day we honor the memory of one our dear friends Don Albers. After his passing, his family wanted to make a donation in his memory and we thought it was most fitting to honor him and all of our veterans by upgrading our “Wall of Honor”. This locked case is such a beautiful way to spotlight our residents and staff who have served.

Don was such a proud veteran and it gives us such joy to have a piece of him and his memory with us daily.

Thank you so much to his family for choosing our community for their dad and for honoring him and so many others with this donation. ❤️

The entire community celebrates all of our residents, employees, family members, and friends who have served our country!!!
