Today was Country Store day at Emerald Glen, and it was a big hit! Our residents had the opportunity to come “shop” with the SmartBucks they’ve earned for making smart choices, playing games, taking daily strolls through the building, and participating in all kinds of activities.

From sweet treats to practical goodies, the Country Store gives our residents a fun way to spend what they’ve worked for and pick out both wants and needs. We love offering this as an extra way to help everyone save a dollar these days, while also celebrating their hard work and involvement. Smiles all around and shopping bags full — a great day for our Emerald Glen family!

Starting off the 2026 Healthy Cooking Saga with Berry Cheesecake Fluff! 🍓 Here at Emerald Glen, we do our absolute best to live by the Eat Smart, Live Strong motto—showing that nutritious choices can still be delicious. This light and tasty treat is the perfect way to kick off a year focused on wellness, flavor, and living our strongest lives together. Not very many people are fans of greek yogurt, but in this recipe…. you definitely can’t tell!!! EVERYONE THAT TRIED IT, LOVED IT!!!! There are so many variations you can try with this, different frozen fruits, vanilla pudding mix in place of the cheesecake. Someone suggested using frozen peaches… that sounds delicious!!

Want to make it more decadent, make it a trifle with lady fingers, or vanilla wafers.

We not only got to taste this after making it, we also had plenty to use for dessert at supper tonight!!! YUM-O!!!

We loved celebrating Marilyn on her special day! She spent most of the afternoon visiting with her daughter, and we are sure it made her birthday even more meaningful and joyful. This isn’t a goodbye, Brooke — it’s just a see you later. 💜

What started as coworkers quickly turned into something so much more: true friends and family. As we celebrated Brooke’s last day with us here at Emerald Glen, it became an emotional day for everyone, filled with love, memories, and so many grateful hearts.

Brooke, you have left an everlasting impression on each and every resident and staff member. Your kindness, compassion, and genuine care will never be forgotten. You will truly be missed, but your impact will always remain a part of our Emerald Glen family. 💐

Today, we shared a very tender and meaningful moment at Emerald Glen. Ed released balloons in loving remembrance of his sweetheart, who passed one year ago today. As the balloons lifted into the sky, they carried with them a year’s worth of memories, love, and devotion that will never fade.

It is moments like these—the quiet, personal ones—that truly matter. Honoring what is in our residents’ hearts and walking alongside them through moments of reflection, remembrance, and love is at the core of what we do. We are honored to help Ed remember his sweetheart and to ensure every resident at Emerald Glen feels seen, supported, and deeply loved during their time with us.
