(M.A.R.S) was established in 2013 to positively impact the lives of young adolescents, while teaching them the necessary life skills required to make positive choices in their lives and within their communities. Each service provided by MARS will create a learning opportunity for every participant, so that we are not only challenging the youth, we are looking to help every participant intended to
guide them through the “transitional” periods of their lives. Our sustainable programs will provide our youth with the skills needed to succeed and encourage them through their everyday life interactions. Motivating Adolescents to Reach Success , Inc. will provide programming such as mentoring,college tours as well as, supervised visitations to provide support and guidance to families and their children. We will be providing a series workshops for our participants dealing with some of life’s tough questions. How do I find a job? I am having a baby and I don’t what to do? What if college is not for me? (M.A.R.S) will provide workshops on Job Readiness, Entrepreneurship, Early Parenthood Education and Prevention. Today’s youth are forced to grow up so fast and many lack the basic fundamentals of life necessary to make profound life choices. In some ways my own life is an example, I remember being a teenager and I had the same questions. I became a father at the 16 and it forced me to find a job. I did not know where to start , how to build a resume, what to wear for an interview or what questions they would ask. As an african american male, I truly believe this is a wonderful way to create a positive social change throughout the State of Maryland. gives me the opportunity to help young adolescents, who may not see males like myself or programs like this in their own communities.
