Olney Memory Care was proud to sponsor and celebrate the kickoff of Case Manager Appreciation Week with our incredible partners and colleagues! Between the s’mores, spiked cider, and hot dogs, the only thing warmer than the fire was the amazing turnout and energy from everyone who joined us. ❤️

A heartfelt thank you to Juliana Khader, and Anthony Khader from JK house of Grace—and to all the dedicated case managers, hospital, and rehab staff who make a difference every day.

🌟 Honoring Yesterday, Celebrating Today 🌟

We proud to shine a light on one of our remarkable residents, John! A true explorer at heart, John studied Geology, Earth Science, and History, earning his degree before embarking on a long and successful career that took him around the world. His passion for exploration and discovery led him to travel both professionally and recreationally. From Liberia and Australia to Venezuela and Brazil — he conducted geological research and made lasting contributions to his field.

Beyond his professional achievements, John has always been a man of curiosity and creativity. A few of his greatest loves include reading, writing, crosswords, and puzzles. A lifelong sports enthusiast, John enjoyed skiing, golf, running, football, pole vaulting, and pickleball — and his adventurous spirit continues to inspire everyone around him.

John has been happily married to his beloved wife, Elizabeth, for over two decades — a partnership filled with love and laughter.

Today, we celebrate not only John’s incredible accomplishments but also the vibrant spirit he continues to bring to our community.

We honor his knowledge, kindness, and the beautiful life he has lived — and we celebrate the extraordinary person John has always been.

Halloween is right around the corner, and we’re more than ready for the fun!

Our Director of Business Services, Jina, gave us all a treat by showing up dressed just like Wednesday Addams from The Addams Family! 🖤 Her style set the tone for the season perfectly.

☕ Mmmmmm…. Coffee! ☕

Olney Memory Care by Artis transformed into the Olney Coffeehouse this week — and it was a huge hit! ❤️

The Life Enrichment team put on their aprons and became waitresses for the day, taking orders and serving fresh pastries, hot cocoa, coffee, and tea to our residents. The aroma of fresh brew and baked treats filled the air, making everyone feel right at home.

We also had some fun with a Left-Right game featuring our special stuffed animal dog, bringing plenty of laughter to the tables! 🐶💬

Between the games, sweet treats, and heartfelt conversations, our residents and staff got to know each other even better.

It was truly a relaxing, delicious, and heartwarming afternoon — one that reminded us all that simple moments shared together often mean the most. 💕

Today, our residents traded in their paintbrushes for cotton swabs and created beautiful autumn tree art! 🍁 Each piece was full of color, imagination, and personality — just like the artists themselves.

Art activities like this aren’t just fun; they help spark creativity, encourage self-expression, and bring a sense of calm and joy to our residents. ❤️

🐾 It’s that special time of the month again — Pet Therapy with Trixie! 🐾

Among all the musical happy hours, engaging classes, and fun-filled programs we offer here at Olney Memory Care by Artis, one of our residents’ absolute favorites is our furry friend Trixie’s visit! 🐶💛

Trixie brings joy, comfort, and plenty of smiles to our community twice a month — every second and fourth Wednesday. Her gentle nature and wagging tail brighten the day for everyone she meets!

We love seeing the happiness she brings to our residents — because sometimes, the best therapy has four paws and a wet nose. 🐾✨

At Olney Memory Care by Artis, we turned our community into a safari adventure to celebrate World Animal Day! 🐅🐘

Our residents were true party animals as we played animal-themed trivia, shared fascinating facts, and snacked on delicious tropical fruit. 🍉🍍

Fun Fact: A group of zebras is called a dazzle! ✨🦓

Laughter, learning, and lots of wild headbands made this celebration dazzle for sure! 💙
