🍂 A Look Back at November at Olney 🍂

This past month was filled with meaningful engagement, and plenty of smiles. From Thrive Through Therapy with RSI, to the excitement and friendly competition of Bingo, to our heartwarming Kindness Parade that brought joy to every corner of our neighborhood — November was a month full of fun.

And in between the big events were the everyday moments that matter just as much!

There’s so much happening each day that it’s impossible to capture it all, but here are just a few of the moments that made November shine.

🟢 Olney and the Oobleck 🟢

Today at Olney Memory Care by Artis, we brought a classic Dr. Seuss tale to life! Our residents enjoyed a hands-on science activity as we made our very own oobleck — the magical, mysterious substance from “Bartholomew and the Oobleck.”

We started by reading the story together, then rolled up our sleeves to mix, stir, squish, and explore this silly, slimy, and surprisingly therapeutic creation. The room was filled with laughter, curiosity, and lots of green hands!

What a fun, imaginative day at Olney! ✨

🧡 Wishing You a Happy Thanksgiving! 🧡

At Olney Memory Care by Artis, we celebrated the holiday Olney style — with a community-wide Thanksgiving Luncheon enjoyed throughout all of the halls with live classical music followed by afterwards.

It was a special day filled with delicious food, great company, and heartwarming moments shared together.

This season reminds us how meaningful it is to share not just a community, but a sense of family. Thank you for being part of our journey and for allowing us to be part of yours.

🎶 Singing & Sandwich Social 🎶

Today at Olney Memory Care by Artis, our community came together for a heartwarming Singing & Sandwich Social — complete with timeless tunes, warm smiles, and wonderful voices!

Our residents enjoyed delicious sandwiches while singing along to the classics we all know and love. The room was filled with laughter, nostalgia, and beautiful moments shared between neighbors.

Moments like these remind us how powerful music can be — bringing joy and connection to all. 💛

🎩✨ The Magic Hat Game ✨🎩

At Olney Memory Care by Artis, we turned friendly competition into pure fun with our Magic Hat Game! Residents had 30 seconds to clip as many colorful clips as possible onto the brim of their hat—and the one with the most clips was crowned our winner!

The room was filled with laughter, movement, and cheers. Everyone passing by the neighborhood center couldn’t help but stop and watch the excitement unfold. Moments like these bring joy, connection, and a lot of magic to our day. 💛

🐾 A Paw-sitively Purr-fect Day — Part 2 🐾

The joy from our visit to the Montgomery County Animal Services & Adoption Center didn’t end when we left. Back at Olney Memory Care by Artis, our residents continued sharing stories, favorite moments, and smiles from their time with the animals.

From sweet cats to playful pups, the connections made brought comfort, conversation, and smiles throughout the day. We’re grateful for experiences that create lasting moments and strengthen our community bonds. 💛

🐾 A Paw-sitively Purr-fect Day 🐾

Today, our residents at Olney Memory Care by Artis enjoyed a heartwarming outing to the Montgomery County Animal Services & Adoption Center!

We connected with our community in the sweetest way—through the love of animals.

From playful dogs and gentle cats to curious birds and adorable rabbits, our residents lit up with joy visiting each furry (and feathered!) friend.

It was truly meaningful to see each animal one step closer to their forever home and to share moments of comfort, laughter, and compassion with them. Experiences like this remind us how powerful the bond between humans and animals can be. 💛

Thank you to the Montgomery County Animal Services & Adoption Center for welcoming us—we can’t wait to visit again!
