Richland Memorial Hospital (RMH) has been serving the Southeastern Illinois areas since 1953. Located in Olney, Illinois, the hospital's primary service areas includes the eight counties of Clay, Crawford, Edwards, Jasper, Richland, Wabash and Wayne with a total patient population of about 100,000. RMH is a nonprofit hospital and is fully accredited by the Health Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP). With 135 licensed beds, RMH employs more than 500 health professionals who are committed to providing the best possible experience for our patients. A comprehensive array of physicians and specialists make up the RMH Medical Staff in the areas of: Allergy, Anesthesia, Audiology, Cardiology, Dentistry, Ear/Nose/Throat, Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, General Surgery, Hand Surgery, Internal Medicine, Neurology/Sleep Medicine, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Oncology/Hematology, Orthopedic Surgery, Pathology, Pediatrics, Podiatry, Psychiatry, Radiology, Urology and Women's Health. Newer facilities opened recently by RMH include a state-of-the-art MRI facility, Women's Health Center, an Outpatient Rehabilitation Services Center, Emergency Medical Services building, and various physician practice clinics. RMH also serves as an educational center for various health professions, including Physician Assistants from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, as well as nursing, radiography and phlebotomy students from the Illinois Eastern Community Colleges District. Students majoring in other health professions regularly perform clinical rotation and observation at RMH, as well.
