April’s Pink Full Moon will be shining tonight, settled in Libra, calling us toward growth and renewal, so it seems like a good day to talk about Love.
“Love Always Wins”
When I first started seeing this over a decade ago - I found this to be such an annoying sentiment. I know it gained popularity as a marriage equality hashtag and that’s a good thing. But I thought, all I have to do is open my computer, pick up my phone, walk down the street to see the opposite.
Stay with me here as I get philosophical - I was having a discussion with two wonderful healers about Love and the questions came up “does it truly always win” and as I went on a bit of a ramble it hit me…
After the violence, turmoil, wars, and disasters - it isn’t the hate, the evil or divisiveness that’s left.
Hate and Fear don’t inspire people to reach out, feed, house, clothe, cleanup, donate, rebuild and heal the aftermath.
It’s Love.
You can see it again and again throughout history. Love does the heavy lifting. It’s not glamorous, it’s not enviable, but it is an undeniable, quantifiable truth.
When the destroyers have destroyed, the fearful and the hateful have put down their pitchforks, when they have all run out of steam and their voices die away…
Love is there, it never left, it is constant, unwavering.
This is where it’s power lies and why, in the end, it always wins.
When I read the news and feel the disharmony and pressure building in the world - I try to bring my thoughts back to, not only that Love will win, but that it is here right now, an ever present life line and available to all of us.
