DHE is an old treatment. But it was a life saver for me years ago when nothing else worked. But a neighbor who was a nurse had to come over and give me the injections at the time. I was fortunate to not have to go into the doctor’s office every time I needed treatment though. These self injectors are expensive so I expect there will still be access issues for a while.

Exciting treatment news! 💉 📣 Brekiya® (dihydroergotamine mesylate), the first and only self-administered, ready-to-use DHE autoinjector is now available by prescription! 💙

Brekiya® is FDA approved for the acute treatment of migraine with or without aura and cluster headaches in adults. This ready-to-use autoinjector offers a new option for those who need access to DHE treatment outside of clinical settings.

Parenting a child with pain is already a full-time emotional and logistical challenge.

But for 61% of parents, the story doesn’t end there—they live with chronic pain themselves.

That means managing their own medications, appointments, fatigue, and flare-ups while also advocating, comforting, and caregiving. It’s a dual burden that rarely gets acknowledged.

When a parent and child are both living with pain, it’s not just hard.

It’s layered. Compounding. Unrelenting.

Let’s unmask the complexity of families living with pain on multiple fronts—and the resilience it takes to face it every day.

Because pain is more than a chart. It’s a life.

One letter can change everything.
And when it comes to migraine, that one letter can make people take you less seriously.

People with migraine are often dismissed, misunderstood, or told it’s “just a headache.” But language matters — and the way we talk about migraine plays a huge role in how the world treats those who live with it.

We live with migraine, not “a migraine” or “migraines.”
Why? Because migraine is a genetic neurological disease, not a one-time event.

Even when we’re not in an active attack, we’re managing symptoms, taking meds, avoiding triggers, or preparing for the next wave. It’s there — every day.

That’s why the migraine community encourages phrases like “I have migraine” or “I’m having a migraine attack” instead of “I get migraines.”
It’s not just semantics. It’s about accuracy, validation, and advocacy.

💬 What do you think — does language change how people understand migraine? Let’s talk about it in the comments.
