Although we don't encourage eating too much sugar this time of year, we also know that life is all about balance. If you're going to indulge in sweet treats, follow it up by taking a 10-minute walk. This will help neutralize your blood sugar levels.

If you're doing the holiday baking, try these healthier swaps:

Refined Sugar -> Coconut Sugar, honey, or maple syrup. Depending on the recipe.

White Flour -> Almond Flour

If you're interested in learning more about cold-plunging, here's a quick starter-guide to begin safely and effectively:

1. Start Slow

Begin with cool showers or a 60–65°F plunge for 30–60 seconds. Lower the temperature gradually as you adapt.

2. Aim for the Basics

Beginners typically target: 45–55°F

2–3 minutes

Stay in the range of controlled discomfort, not pain.

3. Control Your Breath

Use slow, steady breathing (inhale 4, exhale 6) to calm your nervous system and reduce shock.

4. Stay Safe

Avoid plunging if ill or dizzy. Step out if you feel disoriented, and get medical clearance if pregnant or managing heart conditions.

5. Warm Up Mindfully

Reheat naturally afterward — move around, layer up, or sip warm tea.
