Thurston-Mason County Medical Society The Thurston-Mason County Medical Society (TMCMS) is a constituent of the WA State Medical Association (WSMA) and the American Medical Association (AMA).

Medical Society Activities
By participating in local, legislative, and educational activities, members can achieve goals through the Society they otherwise might not. Community Liaison
The Society and the State Medical Association act as liaisons between organized medicine and the South Sound community. They represent local physicians before county, city, state and federal groups, elected officials, and the public. Advocating Your Position
The Society and the WSMA give you a voice in the legislative and policymaking process in Olympia and Washington, DC. Effective lobby and legal staff work hard on your behalf on policy and regulatory processes confronting medicine today. Education
The Society sponsors educational programs in the following areas:
• Practice management
• Practice enhancement
• Health care political topics
• Liability concerns
• Public health issues

Membership Events
The Society hosts several membership events throughout the year, including:
• Formal charitable fundraising dinner to support charities in Thurston and Mason counties
• Member and non-member social/outreach events with informational
presentations
• Annual membership dinner and program
• Dinner and a CME events
