How Receipt Paper Could Be Hurting Your Hormones and Heart!!!

One day at the grocery store, I grabbed my receipt without thinking. It was just another errand—until I remembered what I’d read about BPA (bisphenol A) hiding in that thermal paper. BPA is a known hormone disruptor, mimicking estrogen and messing with your body’s natural balance. As someone going through perimenopause, this immediately raised alarms for me.

I dove deeper into the research and found that it doesn’t stop at hormone disruption. Studies have linked BPA exposure to increased risks of heart disease. It blew my mind that something as simple as handling a receipt could have long-term effects on my health. It made me wonder how many of us are unknowingly putting ourselves at risk every day.

From that moment, I made small but impactful changes. Now, I always ask for digital receipts when I can, or toss paper ones quickly if they’re unnecessary. This simple shift helped me protect my hormones and reduce my exposure to toxins that could harm my heart.

If you’re concerned about BPA too, a great place to start is checking out the Environmental Working Group (EWG) at ewg.org. They have amazing resources on how to reduce exposure to BPA and other harmful chemicals in everyday products.

Sometimes, small changes can make a big difference for your health. Don't underestimate the power of knowing what's on that receipt you touch!

⚡ Big change starts with small consistency.

A woman in our group began with one goal — walking 10 minutes daily. That single decision built a new rhythm for her life.

Soon, she was sleeping better, smiling more, and feeling in control again.

Change doesn’t demand perfection — just persistence.

💬 Share one small goal you’re working on this week — I’d love to cheer you on.
