It’s been a full and fulfilling couple of weeks. I recently led our Restore & Reconnect retreat at Sacred Waters and spoke to several groups of women leaders across the state — all exploring what it means to live and lead with greater wellbeing, courage, and heart.

A theme that emerged again and again was self-compassion.
Whether in quiet reflection during the retreat or in conversation with women navigating demanding careers and caregiving roles, the same truth resonated: we cannot pour from an empty cup. Learning to be on our own side — to meet ourselves with understanding instead of criticism — is essential to resilience, balance, and joy.
