To everyone who has been my friend or a follower on this account or my TempleFit account...

I have not posted on my personal site for years, and, for marketing reasons, I wanted to get back on and update a couple things on my business site, TempleFit®. But, I forgot my password and was locked out.

I searched for "Customer service" on FB, and saw a group of people with accounts entitled "Customer service" and they were looking for business. I thought that was strange. But I contacted one guy named "Eugene" and he asked for all the right information and it seemed as if we were getting the account open. Just before he gave it to me, new password, instructions, etc., he said "that will be $100 and I can take cash app, zelle".. basically he listed several ways I could pay.
I asked "$100!? You're asking me for $100 to retrieve my account?!" He said yes, and I accused him of holding my account hostage for $$. Right then I knew he and the others were not really Facebook customer service.

I didn't pay him and I still can't change my password so my account is open all the time now.

I tried to contact real Facebook/META, customer service on the Internet, and there's no way to speak to a live person or even chat.
So I'm leaving Facebook. Permanently. I'm going to set up new accounts on other platforms: Instagram, YouTube (hopefully get videos up soon), X (formerly Twitter), Truth Social, and Rumble.
Hope all of you will follow me there!

I'm posting nutritional news, remedies, ways to buy Standard Process supplements through me (they're the best concentrated food supplements in the world), and I'm working on regular "Fun Food Fridays Make-A-Recipe" day videos.

By the way, I'm going to visit the Standard Process farm this month! I've been wanting to go for years. I'll be taking pictures and posting. I've heard the farm is amazing.

Just so you know... The Standard Process farm is in Palmyra Wisconsin. It's where all the Standard Process supplements are created. They start harvesting in the field at specific times each day, when the healing properties are at their highest. It is a 3rd-generation, privately-owned farm, still in the Dr. Royal Lee family Dr. Royal Lee was the founder of Standard Process, and that farm is the original, and the only one. It's 95 years old and has now grown to almost 1,000 acres of all organically grown plants that they use in their supplements. It's truly beautiful and amazing.

So I will post soon, over the next couple weeks, with fun pictures from the farm, and the links to my other accounts!

3 THINGS TO GET WELL & BOOST IMMUNITY

Hey everyone! It's Saturday, Oct 9 - can you believe it's almost the end of 2021? Wow.

I just wanted to post today on how to keep yourself healthy and well in our current "flu" climate - I'm getting lots of questions on that subject! So here goes on the top 3 things you can do to help your body get well and stay well:

#1 If you're feeling under-the-weather, stop eating sugar, grains, and dairy. Bad germs love these foods and if you continue eating them, you may as well call those bad germs your pets. You're feeding your pets.

#2 The current "bad germ" people are catching today, gobbles up zinc out of the body. You will want to replace that zinc (chelated zinc is the best) along with Vitamin D, Vitamin A, and Vitamin C complex.
Dealing with this current bug, you need the whole Vitamin C complex. You can't skate by anymore with just Ascorbic Acid - Ascorbic Acid is not Vitamin C complex. Ascorbic Acid is to Vitamin C what an egg shell is to an egg. It's the container that protects the insides.
Vitamin C complex contains many co-factors that increase blood vessel strength, oxygen supply to all cells in the body, provide protective antioxidant activity against free-radicals, promote overall blood and vascular health, and more. If you can't find Vitamin C complex in your neighborhood health food store, please contact me, maxine@templefit.com, and I'll send you some. Not expensive at all.

#3 Eat protein and fat, even if you can't taste, can't smell, and don't feel hungry. Bone broth is a good source of enzymes, protein, collagen, and fat if you don't feel up to a steak or chicken leg. Homemade bone broth is far superior to store-bought bone broth. But if you don't have homemade bone broth in your fridge or freezer, store-bought will do. Add some fat to it, like chicken fat, or some ghee, or light-flavored olive oil, and you have an amazing health remedy. Fat needs to be present when you are ingesting minerals, or you won't be able to absorb your minerals very well (zinc is a mineral). Additionally, healthy fats like grass-fed butter or ghee, expeller-pressed olive oil, flax oil, duck fat, and many others, contain the fat-soluble vitamins A, E, D, and K. Take out the fat, and you take out those vitamins. And right now, if you're not feeling well, you need those! The bonus is that omega-3 fats, found in pastured chickens, grass-fed cows, and fish cool down any inflammation you may have in your body. If you have pain, you have inflammation. Sugar makes it worse. Omega-3 fats relieve the inflammation and, thus, the pain.

I found this great online grocery store called "MISFITS MARKET"!
Misfits Market is all about rescuing perfectly good organic food from the trash! And they're selling it for about 40% off store prices! Organic food!
My box came today beautifully insulated with frozen meats still frozen and my beautiful organic nectarines carefully packed in little cardboard clamshell containers. You gotta check this out, folks. No more excuses for not buying organic because it's "too expensive". Really? Well not any more!

Hey everyone! I came across a great discovery I want to share today!
So some of you, especially my clients, have heard me talk about Farm Fresh Market up in West Olympia on Black Lake Boulevard. It's a cute little grocery store, spotlessly clean, and jam-packed with awesome organic food! It's like a little mini PCC Natural Market, (Seattle & the Eastside) or a mini Marlene's (Tacoma). And, even though there are 2 other organic co-ops here in Olympia, one on the east side and another on the west, their customer service and general atmosphere is not that great. They've even been rude and insulting at times during the covid shutdown.

New Recipe! For those of you who may be fasting during this special time of Rosh Hashannah, here's a new recipe for a Daniel Fast. What's a Daniel Fast? It comes from the book of Daniel in the Bible. Daniel ate only veggies, grains, fats, and drank water for a period of time in order to get closer to God for answers to his prayers about a dream. God answered him.
So if you're like me, and you get bored with vegan food, and may be looking for new ways to prepare food, here's a different breakfast that is hearty and delicious. I wish I could take credit for this one but it comes from a Standard Process Detox Balance program book. Try it and tell me what you think! APPLE-QUINOA BREAKFAST BOWL - serves 2
*1/2 cup raw quinoa
*1 large apple, peeled and diced
*1/4 teaspoon sea salt
*1/3 cup raisins (opt)
*1 2/3 cup water
*1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
* 3 Tablespoons coconut butter (opt)
* 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
* Unsweetened dairy-free milk (opt)
* Nuts (opt)
DIRECTIONS:
Peel and dice apple. In a small pot, bring water to a boil, and then reduce heat to simmer on low heat. Add quinoa, apple, salt, and raisin. Cover and simmer for 40 minutes. Turn off heat and let quinoa sit covered for an additional 20 minutes. If too thin, bring back to a boil and stir until fluffy. Stir in cinnamon, vanilla nuts, sweetener, and coconut butter.

Hey everyone! So good to be back after months of shutdown. Hope you are all doing well and getting ready for an exciting fall season.
Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, begins evening of September 18 and ends at sundown September 20 this year. I am not Jewish but I'm kind of fascinated with Jewish festivals. And I love September because it just feels like a month of good change.
One of the things I'm going to do this September is fasting along with some time of prayer that coincides with Rosh Hashanah. During this intense time in our country, we all could use some extra time of re-centering and getting closer to God so that we don't lose our peace. So fasting is a great complement to creating more quiet time because it unburdens the body, and helps it focus on cleansing, repair, and rebuilding. And when we do that, we think more clearly and boost immunity.
I don't know about you, but I can't go totally without food all day because my blood sugars crash so bad. So my fasts consist of juicing and eating lighter meals. Sometimes that means eating less animal products and focusing on veggies and legumes. But what I really like to do is juice! And it's a perfect time to do this at harvest time when the best juicing veggies are ready for harvest.
I joined a CSA (Consumer Supported Agriculture) farm - Kirsop Farm - and I get a box of fresh-picked, organic veggies delivered every Wednesday to my front porch. It's great but it's kind of a lot of food for just me. So I'm using the abundance of veggies in my juices and I just had to share this with you.

Juices this beautiful make fasting way more enjoyable and infuses the body with super nutrition!
Experiment yourself with different veggies and fruits. Apples are always great juicing fruits and they're coming into season now! Try them with carrots and don't forget to throw a couple of lemon halves in there! Happy fasting and cleansing!

(OMNS Mar 1, 2020) First of all, the naysayers are too late. Vitamin C is already being used to prevent and treat COVID-19 in China and in Korea. And it is working.
