Community help 🙏

As many of you know, I’ll be volunteering on an international birth project olomololaye.com this March that brings together birth professionals from Kenya, Nigeria, and the United States 🇰🇪🇳🇬🇺🇸
We’ll be meeting in Nairobi for a 10-day conference, and I’ll be teaching a 4-hour class on biomechanics in birth, focusing on restoring balance in the body, birthing positions, creating space and supporting how babies move and rotate through the pelvis. I’m beyond excited and deeply honored to be part of this work.

This is fully volunteer work, and I’ve already contributed some of my own funds. That said, I’m reaching out to this amazing community because we have team members traveling from Nigeria who do not have funding for their flights.
A round-trip ticket from Nigeria to Kenya costs around $860.
If you feel called to help support a Nigerian birth worker in being present at this conference, I would be incredibly grateful. Even small contributions truly add up.

Additionally, I plan to bring and leave behind as a gift a pelvis model, baby, and placenta model to support ongoing hands-on education https://cascadehealth.com/childbirth-model-set-with-flexible-pelvis. The cost for those teaching tools is $450, and donations toward that will go directly to me so I can purchase and transport them. (I also would be open to get a used model donated)

Update on our in person Blissful Birth Initiation Doula Training ✨

We’ve moved our state-approved, doula training from February–March to April after realizing that many folks are in a better financial place later in the year than right after the holidays.
🦋 This also means the training will now take place after my international work in Kenya, which I believe will positively influence the training in a meaningful way 🦋

I’m so excited to offer my 4-week Infant Massage Class at TrueSelf Yoga in Olympia again 🦋

When: on 4 Fridays, January 23rd through February 13th, from 11:00 AM–12:00 PM.
💛 Two of our classes will include special guest speakers and will extend until 12:30 PM.

I’m excited to announce my next state-approved, in-person doula training through Blissful Birth Initiations (BBI)!

When: February 28, March 1, 7 & 8

How long: 36 hours over two weekends

Where: Likely held at SPSCC

I am excited to teach with Stefanie Anderson RN, BSN IBCLC, again. She has co-taught the last two BBI cohorts with me and is truly nothing short of fantastic. We’ll also be joined by several amazing guest speakers.

- Certification through Blissful Birth Initiations

- This training qualifies you to become a state-approved doula

- Eligible to apply after state doula certification for ProviderOne and bill state insurance

This is more than just a training. After completion, you’ll receive:
