We are excited to announce that our next Aliya Academy event, Empowering Clients - Neuroscience 101, will be presented by Amy Sohler, MPA, MA, LMHC, SUDP, CSAT.

Many clients understand the neuroscience of addiction and recovery better than their counselors.

As a counselor, it's imperative to minimally know what your clients do and be able to give your uninformed clients the most legitimate information. In this training, participants will learn the essential aspects of neuroscience that their clients may or may not already know, delving into the intricacies of the limbic system and the pleasure-reward pathway and gaining insight into their significance in addiction and recovery.

We will explore the pivotal role of neurotransmitters like dopamine and understand their impact on neural network wiring. Additionally, the session will focus on the neurochemical mechanisms underlying medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and its efficacy in addressing addiction.
