Today we were able to take our leadership team to the annual Adult Family Home Council’s annual conference. What a great day of learning and growing in our industry!

We are incredibly proud and honored to announce that our very own Breeanna Sierra was nominated for the Exceptional Caregiver of the Year by the Adult Family Home Council. She was amongst 115 nominations and made it to the final 10. We find out tomorrow who wins! Bree is a gem to have in staff at Brooks Blessings and whether she wins it all or not she is our very own and we love her dearly. Also, Mia Tyler, was nominated- she is our manager at Lacey and is another one of our excellent staff at BBAFH!

More walks are happening daily as the temperatures cool off and the residents desire to get outside!

The weather has been beautiful and perfect for taking our residents on walks. Both homes are near parks and are perfect for outings!

Yesterday, we celebrated one of our resident's 100th birthday with an hour of singing, delicious food, and lots of laughter. We take pleasure in spoiling our special individuals.

Had some helpers today assembling our Green Stalk so we can garden on the deck this summer! Hopefully the weather will warm up so they can get rid of their coats and actually help! 😂

Thank you to everyone who read and shared our post about wanting to get another dog for our home! Y’all are awesome. On Wednesday we received a “new to us” dog who just loves to sit on our residents laps, eat the tiny pieces of food that drop from the table and chase squirrels. His name is Gibbs and he will fit in just great at our West Olympia home
