Thank you for checking us out here at Naturopathic Health Center! Whether you are a long time devotee or a first time user of naturopathic medicine, we hope that you will come and experience how our office can help you on the path towards better health. There are six basic principles of naturopathic medicine:
* First, Do No Harm
* The Healing Power of Nature
* Find the Cause
* Doctor as
Teacher
* Treat the Whole Person
* Prevention
Utilizing these principles appropriately and treating each person individually can be a more involved process than you may have encountered with other health care providers. Evaluation may include physical exam and laboratory tests that reflect the body’s function, not just detect disease. Our goal is to treat you as a whole person – mind, body, and spirit – and we use personal evaluations to design a program to address your particular needs. If we are unable to address all of your health concerns, options will be discussed and we will refer you elsewhere if needed. As holistic health care providers, we believe that health is not merely the absence of disease but a vibrant state of wellbeing. The goal is to provide you with the tools you need to stimulate the body’s innate ability to heal and regain balance. Natural therapies used in the office include diet modification, lifestyle change, exercise, herbs, nutritional supplements, homeopathy, hydrotherapy, naturopathic manipulation, and craniosacral therapy. Because naturopathic medicine is individualized medicine, the initial office visit will last one hour and consist primarily of gathering information so that an appropriate treatment plan can be devised. A second visit will be scheduled approximately one week after the initial visit to discuss an individualized treatment plan. This is also a good time to raise any concerns or introduce information that may have been forgotten during the initial visit. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
