On Saturday, April 4th, Doug Woollen conducted a successful Food Giveaway at the DAV Chapter 41 office in Olympia. After reading about the DAV Community Impact Day in DAV Magazine, Doug took the initiative to organize this event by coordinating with the office, his church, and the Thurston County Food Bank.

Thanks to his efforts, over forty veterans received food, with very little left over at the end of the day. Doug is already planning for next year’s DAV Community Impact Day.

The officers of DAV Chapter 41 would like to thank Doug Woollen for his leadership and initiative. We encourage all members to continue finding ways to support our veteran community.

DAV Chapter 41 will be hosting a Food Giveaway at our office on Saturday, April 4, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. A food delivery vehicle is scheduled to arrive by 10:00 AM, and the distribution will be set up either indoors or outdoors, contingent on weather conditions.

All veterans and their families are welcomed.

This event is part of the DAV Community Impact Day.

DAV info table at South Puget Sound Community College in Olympia on Feb 4th. The table was setup in conjunction with the college basketball game on Wednesday. Phil Person is a member of Chapter 41 and a member of the SPSCC Veterans Club. Lots of VA benefit information was available for our veterans during this event. Thank you Phil for hosting this table at this event.

Many Veterans were interested in our VA benefits assistance and joining the DAV.
A nice table display attracts much interest.
