US FLAG & POLE NEEDED!!!

Our flag was taken from outside our office and we need a replacement (Picture shows our temporary flag).

If you have a 5 foot US flag and pole to donate we would be grateful for your support.

The flag is stored inside when we close for the day and setup when we open.

DAV Chapter 41 members attended the city of Tumwater council meeting and "Purple Heart Proclamation". Tumwater City Mayor, Debbie Sullivan, presented the ceremonial document to Jim Peterson, who is a member of Chapter 41, and a Vietnam War Veteran and Purple Heart recipient. Also in attendance are DAV Chapter 41 Commander Jim Ratcliff, Adjutant Henry Gossage, and Treasurer Phil Person. This was a very important event for the city of Tumwater to honor Veterans awarded a Purple Heart.

Fort Lewis JBLM - Retiree Appreciation Day - June 27

Chapter 41 represented the DAV this year. We promoted the DAV and the services we offer to Veterans and their family members. We spoke to many Veterans that are interested in applying for disability.

It's great to belong to an organization that does a lot in the community.

Lacey Rotary Duck Dash

DAV41 had an information table at the Lacey Duck Dash on Saturday. We spoke to many veterans and spouses. We also went outside to speak to the participants of the antique car show.

I think this event was a success and would like to participate again next year. This was a great opportunity to advertise the DAV and the services we offer.

Thank you for all that participated.

The tablecloth and banner looked great.
