Washington State Senior Citizens' Lobby The Senior Citizens' Lobby is a volunteer, non-profit advocacy organization for seniors

The Senior Citiznes' Lobby is a forum for senior advocacy groups throughout the state of Washington.

*Studies issues of concern to seniors and develops a legislative agenda prior to each legislative session.

*Meetings are held prior to the legislative to explain the issues the Senior Lobby will request the legislature to support.

*Lobbies and testifies actively on issuesduring legislative session and in the interim recess.

*Contacts legislators and staff about seniors needs for housing, health care, insurance, long-term care, retirement benefits and other issues.

*Maintains an office, web site, and communication network for seniors, providing access to information on issues and the legislature.

*Organizes and co-sponsors a Fall Conference on current public policy issues with national. state and speakers and elected officials.

*Provides public forums with speakers on issues of concern to seniors.

*Produces written legislative updates, annual legislative summaries, and issue papers on current bills and topics, including initiatives and referendums.

*Sponsors a “Senior Lobby Day” at the State Capitol each Legislative session.
