My Friends, this weekend we are celebrating our 25th anniversary as a community dancing together!
How time flies when you are having fun! As amazing as it may sound, the conscious dance community that Amara Pagano gave birth to in Olympia in 1999 has thrived and grown for over 25 years. It started as Waves Studio and eventually evolved into OlyWaves. Over the years, modalities have included 5Rhythms, Soul Motion, Open Floor and Path of Azul. I've been blessed and am deeply grateful to help lead, and keep us going, for most of that time.
To celebrate and commemorate our silver anniversary, Amara, now a global phenomenon and the founder of Path of Azul, will hold our Sweat your Prayers this Sunday at 10:30am on the very dance floor where it all began, the Olympia Ballroom, 116 Legion Way, Olympia.
Whether you are an old friend or new, OlyWaves invites you to join us for this Sunday's Sweat Your Prayers and the celebration (noon to 1pm) that follows. Come reconnect, see longtime friends, dance with Amara and help us celebrate. Even if you no longer dance, please come join us for the celebration.
