Meet Jake Woods, our Executive Director of ACOs at PSW! Jake has been with us for over five years, where he’s played a vital role in managing and growing our ACO programs. He serves as the subject matter expert in accountable care and innovative models at PSW while building meaningful relationships both inside and outside of PSW to support communities in delivering high-quality care.

While his main role is focused on network engagement and performance management for PSW's ACO networks, Jake has also taken on the responsibility of leading business development and growth at PSW. He recognizes PSW’s unique opportunity to help other organizations optimize their performance in value-based arrangements and promote high-quality initiatives that drive positive outcomes.

Throughout his time at PSW, Jake has leveraged his expertise to actively participate in advocacy efforts. He has joined the NAACOS Policy Committee, where he advocates directly to political representatives in Washington, D.C. Jake is passionate about improving care for Medicare patients and is proud to advocate for expanding ACO services to new communities across Washington State. One of his favorite parts of the job is the relationships he’s developed with colleagues and partners, as well as the constant learning that keeps him engaged and excited about the future of healthcare.

Jake’s commitment to accelerating healthcare and his enthusiasm for building meaningful connections truly make him an inspiring leader here at PSW. We’re lucky to have him on our team! 💙

Meet Steve Schramm, our Chief Financial Officer at PSW and the VP & CFO of MultiCare Connected Care. With over two decades of experience in healthcare finance and management, Steve is a leader who thrives on driving meaningful change at both the national and local levels. Under Steve’s leadership, PSW and MultiCare Health System have established a strong Medical Economics and Actuarial Service team, overseeing the development of risk-based contracting for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance products representing over two billion dollars in annual healthcare spending. Before joining PSW, Steve served as President and CFO of QualChoice Health Plan Services at Catholic Health Initiatives, where he helped Soundpath Health grow into the third-largest Medicare Advantage plan in its service area.

Outside of work, Steve loves hiking and is looking forward to exploring destinations like Moab, Bryce Canyon, Zion, and Lake Powell. At home, he enjoys spending time with his Victorian Bulldog, Taco, and his Devon Rex cats, Clover and Nutmeg. What Steve values most about PSW is the people. For him, it’s all about being part of a team that’s making real changes in healthcare, and he deeply appreciates the incredible colleagues he works with every day.

Meet Sara Aukerman, PSW’s dynamic and dedicated Compliance Officer, whose expertise is crucial to protecting our organization’s integrity and reputation. Sara oversees compliance, privacy, and security programs, managing enterprise risk and ensuring adherence to federal regulatory requirements, state law, and industry best practices. Drawing from her previous experience as a co-owner and operator of an event planning and promotions business, Sara brings a unique skill set to the table. Her background has honed her abilities in relationship management, project management, strategic planning, problem-solving, and effective communication, which have proven invaluable in her role. Sara finds great satisfaction in collaborative, hands-on work, focusing on root-cause analysis, process improvement, prevention, and education. She appreciates the moments of teamwork that arise in her role and chairs PSW’s employee engagement committee. Sara's proudest accomplishment is building PSW’s compliance and privacy programs from the ground up, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Outside of work, Sara is passionate about gardening, rockhounding, attending live music events with her daughter, and relaxing at her favorite beach on the Washington coast. She enjoys spending time with her dogs, Willa and Angus, and her cat, Winter, who believes he's a dog too. Sara embodies the mission, vision, and values of PSW, and we're incredibly fortunate to have her on our team.
