Vendor spotlight time!

Sanae Guerin is a relatively new resident on the Steamboat Island Peninsula. She hails from Los Angeles, CA via New York City. She is a visual artist who has yet to find a medium she doesn't like: working in watercolor, pen & ink, stained glass, mosaic, textiles & fiber, ceramics, etc. You'll find some of her small stained glass pieces at Lenny's but keep your eyes open for more!

This is Colleen of Dragonfly! She's one of the original Lenny's vendors from when we started in Fall of 2024.
She handmakes one of a kind leather bags, earrings and coming soon, journals! We love you!!

From Colleen:
Originally from Idaho, is a fabric/fiber and leather artist .She has led many
“lives” – teacher, mom, seamstress, designer/space planner, costumer, actress, business owner
and artist. With a B. A. in Theater and an M.A. in Communications – Costume and Set Design,
she has always had a bent towards the creative life. Her inspiration was her mother who taught
her to sew and love fabrics .
During her artist years in Idaho, she had a business called “Soft Things” making fabric decorator
pillows, screens, wall hangings and creatures for adults... Today’s “Dragonfly by CW Design” is a
continuation of this love of fabrics using discontinued designer upholstery samples and leath-
er to make one of a kind bags, totes and purses. She has branched out to add Leather jewelry,
and other leather items to her work.
Another Idaho business, “Fantasia Costumes”, found her making costumes for TV shows, an
opera company, the circus, Halloween, st*****rs and female impersonators. Her costume back-
ground has led her, today, to with leather mask making. She uses vegetable tanned leather and
acrylic paint to create molded and formed leather masks for wearing or for display. Her inspira-
tions are the seasons, mythology and costume history.

Vendor spotlight on Jami Rider who makes all of the luxurious skincare products we offer!

I started soaping when my nine year old was a baby. I went to a homesteading fair that offered several demonstrations. I watched in awe as I got my first glimpse of how to make soap from scratch. I was hooked! So home I went to start creating. Everything I saw was an inspiration for soap. It took me a year to perfect my recipe, because real soap must cure for a minimum of 30 days before it can be used. Once cured, I could try it and alter the recipe as needed. My supply grew, but there was only so much that could be used or gifted. That’s when Lux n’ Lather Soap Co. was born. That passion blossomed into creating lotion, body butter, solid lotion bars, shampoo bars, beard oil, etc. I really enjoyed learning about different oils and the beneficial properties they offer to our daily bath and body needs. All of my ingredients come from a PNW company in Bellingham. They offer plant-based fragrance oils and high quality butters and oils. Everything I make is the best of the best, and fills my creative bucket with joy.
