The body is doing every single thing right. With the inputs and conditions placed upon it. (In most cases)

I had to step away from how my practice used to run. And I have been living and embodying Tensegrity Medicine from a different view of the kaleidoscope. A new turn.

Feeling through my compression and distraction forces. Expansion and contraction. The full spectrum of the nervous system. And understanding, from an embodied place what it is to shift patterns. Shifting through lenses of nervous system adaptations, trauma, ancestral, and quantum fields. What it is to shift capacity and resiliency. The power of presence. Raw presence, free from judgement and agenda.

I have struggled with the word "healing" and the ways it has been manipulated for clickbait. What this word actually means. The sneaky ways it can lead to more shame and judgement. I have rejected healer as an identity, and ultimately found myself claiming it from an empowered place and as part of my soul purpose.

Healing has many ways because each person is complex. It can be painful, and also magical and joyful. The ways that we need to heal and how we do it will be unique to our own individual system. I know that there is no one thing or person that will save me, or you. But I trust that your system knows. Your body. Your fascia. It knows.

This week I am honored to step into the TM classroom again in Charleston, SC. To be with my brilliant, wise, loving, and passionate friend Liz McNulty as she leads us in learning more about TM. The assessments that reveal the wisdom of your unique system. The fascial adaptations created to survive, to thrive, and to heal. I am excited to witness her passion for fascia, from the mycelium to the cosmos.

And I am excited to be with the spaciousness of my system. The spaciousness my system has created by the conditions I said "no" to and the ones I said "yes" to.

My nature is calm, knowing, strong but soft. My tone of voice is more quiet than most. I have witnessed most of my life that I do not prefer to argue, shout, or fight to be heard. It goes against my natural energy. My energy is best used when people come to me and actually want to hear what I have to say. Maybe you feel similar.

I am asking myself “What if I never told my story?”, “What parts would I have wished were told?”, “What would I want people to know?”.

This morning I find myself in this deep ache and a burning in my throat. The expression that wants to come through is not so much about me as it is universal. It is from a knowing place. I want to tell people how brilliant they are. That they are wise, intuitive, and creative. That these things are natural to being a spiritual being. Most things in life can become veils and barriers to us knowing our brilliance and our limitless potential. I would tell people that they are not limited by their roles, relationships, jobs, trauma, tasks.

There is a path to the knowing place that asks for stillness, quiet, closing the door on the noise. I feel the collective longing for this connection to self, to other, to purpose, and peace.

From my work with the human body and energy I know that I can’t meet the system with force or agenda. The nervous system will always win. I must yield for a way in. For the opportunity to shift. If I choose my agenda over the intelligence of that system, or a part of that system, there will be push back. An attempt to solve or fix one part without consideration of the whole, can cause another part of the system to get loud, react, resist. Force is not the way. Manipulation is not the way. It is only when all parts are met with honor and respect for their innate wisdom that the system changes.

Communicating with the system in this way requires a certain frequency, a language, a voice that is closer to a whisper. No shouting. You have to get quiet enough to hear all parts. Some of the more quiet parts won’t get a voice until the louder ones have been heard and witnessed. Often the louder parts feel they are protecting the quiet ones from harm. The loud parts are not bad or wrong, they are just expressing differently.

So we surrender. Not as giving up or weakness. We surrender in strength, trusting that the true knowing of the system will reveal itself when it is not being pushed.

Similarly, in life, when we surrender in strength… When we choose to get quiet. When we turn away from the noise, we find wisdom. We find what we are truly longing for. We find innate intelligence that has been showing us all along what is right for us. What is true for us.

When you are depleted from arguing, shouting, and fighting, you must get quiet and listen. There is something in the fragmentation that has been pulling you from your knowing. From your natural energy flow. And when you find it, you will find your true power.

The power that is unmovable. Not power over, but power with. Moving from fear to love. From exhaustion to the courage and stamina to stand for what you know is truth. The kind of truth that doesn’t require power over anything or anyone.

Maybe we begin by shutting off this screen. Prioritizing ourselves. Prioritizing connection.

I am releasing the secret.

One morning on my walk in East Sussex I met a man named Richard. If I had to guess, Richard was in his 70s. He had lost his wife about six years ago. He was eager to chat with me and curious about my life. He also kept asking about my parents. And after about the 4th time I asked him how old he thought I was, to be referring to my parents so much. I said "Because you know, I'm 40". He about fell over. He thought I was 25. Oh Richard, so sweet.

Realizing I had a few more years under my belt, he asked me what I had been most surprised by in my years working with clients. Like what was the craziest or most outrageous thing I had come across. I was able to answer quickly that I am really never surprised.

Partially because I am an old soul and partially because of the inner work I have done. The more I sit with my pain, my shadow, my doubt, my fear, judgement releases. When I love my fragments back into wholeness, it releases my self judgement. This is how I can show up in a way that feels safe to people. This is why my clients tell me I am so safe. This is why they don't feel judged by me. When you can be with whatever comes up, without judgment, you can heal. You can access the best most creative most loving aspects of yourself.

This is how we become safe for each other. By loving our whole selves. I am so thankful for the few people in my life that have the courage to be with it all. To love their whole selves so that they may show up in this way for the people in their lives. For themselves, for their clients, their communities, their friends, their families.

This is one very important way we change the world.

What are we building? What are we loving into existence?

I remember this moment with one of my clients when I first started my practice. It has stayed with me for almost 8 years now. She said "We're going to see what you can do to fix me". I knew with every fiber of my being that we weren't going to fix her, because she wasn't broken. From day one I have held this knowing. The knowing that we are not broken and not in need of fixing.

Have you suspected this? Have you known it for awhile? Have you heard that internal voice that whispers "there's nothing wrong with you, there's nothing to fix". Have you been feeling it as the external voices get louder and louder? As frenetic energy swirls around you yelling what you should do, how the person or the thing will fix you. Maybe your mind races, your vision gets blurry, and you start to feel ungrounded.

This is the moment when you step back, turn down the dial of the external world, drop in. Drop into your knowing.
