My nature is calm, knowing, strong but soft. My tone of voice is more quiet than most. I have witnessed most of my life that I do not prefer to argue, shout, or fight to be heard. It goes against my natural energy. My energy is best used when people come to me and actually want to hear what I have to say. Maybe you feel similar.
I am asking myself “What if I never told my story?”, “What parts would I have wished were told?”, “What would I want people to know?”.
This morning I find myself in this deep ache and a burning in my throat. The expression that wants to come through is not so much about me as it is universal. It is from a knowing place. I want to tell people how brilliant they are. That they are wise, intuitive, and creative. That these things are natural to being a spiritual being. Most things in life can become veils and barriers to us knowing our brilliance and our limitless potential. I would tell people that they are not limited by their roles, relationships, jobs, trauma, tasks.
There is a path to the knowing place that asks for stillness, quiet, closing the door on the noise. I feel the collective longing for this connection to self, to other, to purpose, and peace.
From my work with the human body and energy I know that I can’t meet the system with force or agenda. The nervous system will always win. I must yield for a way in. For the opportunity to shift. If I choose my agenda over the intelligence of that system, or a part of that system, there will be push back. An attempt to solve or fix one part without consideration of the whole, can cause another part of the system to get loud, react, resist. Force is not the way. Manipulation is not the way. It is only when all parts are met with honor and respect for their innate wisdom that the system changes.
Communicating with the system in this way requires a certain frequency, a language, a voice that is closer to a whisper. No shouting. You have to get quiet enough to hear all parts. Some of the more quiet parts won’t get a voice until the louder ones have been heard and witnessed. Often the louder parts feel they are protecting the quiet ones from harm. The loud parts are not bad or wrong, they are just expressing differently.
So we surrender. Not as giving up or weakness. We surrender in strength, trusting that the true knowing of the system will reveal itself when it is not being pushed.
Similarly, in life, when we surrender in strength… When we choose to get quiet. When we turn away from the noise, we find wisdom. We find what we are truly longing for. We find innate intelligence that has been showing us all along what is right for us. What is true for us.
When you are depleted from arguing, shouting, and fighting, you must get quiet and listen. There is something in the fragmentation that has been pulling you from your knowing. From your natural energy flow. And when you find it, you will find your true power.
The power that is unmovable. Not power over, but power with. Moving from fear to love. From exhaustion to the courage and stamina to stand for what you know is truth. The kind of truth that doesn’t require power over anything or anyone.
Maybe we begin by shutting off this screen. Prioritizing ourselves. Prioritizing connection.
