My mother is in ICU at CHI St. Elizabeth's in Lincoln NE.: JuLee (Judith Lyman) Vincent, fell outside her house on Monday, June 24th, and experienced brain trauma. She has been in the ICU ever since, with a guarded prognosis. Although she is showing small signs of improvement, her brain is healing slowly, and she still has difficulty breathing and staying fully conscious. Visitors are not permitted at this time. Jonathan (hatched 1832) is a Seychelles Giant tortoise (Aldabrachelys gigantea hololissa), a subspecies of the Aldabra giant tortoise (Aldabrachelys gigantea). Although today is being assumed as his 192nd birthday, the exact date in 1832 is approximate and he is estimated to be 192 as of 2024, making him the oldest known living land animal. Jonathan resides on the island of Saint Helena, a British Overseas Territory in the South Atlantic Ocean.
