                                            As a pregnancy dietitian, this it what I tell my clients:
1. The “do not eat” list does not need to be your main concern. Your main concern should be what can I ADD to my diet to better support baby’s growth. Focus on enhancing your diet instead of taking away from it.
2. Your pregnancy symptoms DO NOT have to be barrier between you and the way you want to nourish your baby. You have control to take the action steps today to reduce your symptoms and take control over your food choices.
3. How you ate before pregnancy most likely isn’t going to meet baby’s needs for optimal growth. Your nutrient needs have increased dramatically. Mindlessly eating a little bit more during pregnancy without choosing nutrient dense foods may lead to increased risks for baby’s development. Learn what your specific needs are and what can be added into your diet!
