Step Ups Do & Don’t πŸ’ͺ🏼

Do: βœ…
Maintain proper knee position - in line with hip and toes
Stick the balance at the top for a few seconds
Control the upward AND downward movements

Don’t:❌
Allow lead knee to collapse medially
Jump from the ground
Forget the balance portion

Running & staying safe outside when it’s raining can be tricky 🌧️

Below are three tips to make sure you’re going out in the rain and staying safe while you log the miles πŸƒπŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

1. Wear moisture-wicking, reflective gear: Choose lightweight, breathable clothing that repels water and keeps you visible in low-light, rainy conditions.

2. Watch your footing: Be cautious on slick surfaces like painted crosswalks, metal grates, and wet leaves. Shorten your stride slightly to maintain balance and reduce slipping risk.

3. Protect your electronics: Use a waterproof phone case or leave valuables at home. If you wear earbuds, make sure they’re water-resistant to avoid damage.

Technique Update: Step Back Lunge β˜‘οΈ

Keep moving safely and with confidence!

Do: β˜‘οΈ
Maintain proper knee position
Keep an upright posture
Control your descent into the lunge
Modify Weight and depth appropriately
Use primarily the lead leg to return to standing position

Don’t: πŸ™…πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ
Allow knees to collapse inward
Allow Shoulders/torso to lean too far forward
β€œDrop or Fall” back into the lunge
Go too deep or use too much weight
Push too hard with the rear leg to return to standing position
