Meet Alicia, one of the dedicated owners behind Legato Living at Heartland Hills. 💜

With nearly 20 years of experience in child welfare as the co-owner and Executive Director of Apex Foster Care, Alicia has spent her career advocating for vulnerable populations. She’s also a licensed Realtor with a passion for real estate investing — a love she and her husband, Greg, continue to build into meaningful projects together.

Alicia’s heart for service comes from personal experience. She shared close relationships with her grandparents and supported them as they aged, shaping her deep commitment to compassionate, consistent care. Today, that purpose drives her mission at Legato Living: to give every resident a safe, nurturing home and every family peace of mind.

Belated post on my part 💙 — but too important not to share. Last month, was Brianne Gerrons turn to organize our final service project of the year, supporting the American Red Cross Mission Holiday Cheer for Offutt AFB families.
Not only did we have fun giving back to those that sacrifice so much, but Brendan Major and Brett were also able to fine tune their gift wrapping skills.

In the 2022 documentary series Limitless, released by National Geographic, Hemsworth underwent a battery of tests to discover what he could do to extend his healthy years. However, a genetic test revealed that he has two copies of the risk gene for Alzheimer’s. While the genes aren’t a guarantee he will develop the neurodegenerative disease, carriers have an eight to 10-fold higher risk.

The need for quality memory care continues to rise—fast. According to the Alzheimer’s Association, the number of Americans age 65+ living with Alzheimer’s is projected to nearly double by 2060, reaching an estimated 13–14 million.

At the same time, the U.S. memory-care market is expanding, valued at $5.82 billion in 2022 and projected to grow steadily through 2030. And with senior-care franchises also showing strong momentum, the opportunity to make an impact has never been greater.
