Four years ago I was officially approved to take TRICARE health insurance. I have supported dozens of families since then. Some active duty, some with their spouses deployed, some dual military, ALL worthy of doula support!! I remember being so proud of being the first in Nebraska to take Tricare, and I’m so proud to be helping others through the process!

My postpartum recommendations and yes there is a Kindle on there 😂 just trust me you’ll want something to do besides online shop during hose late night feeds. Did you know I created an entire ebook about postpartum that I sent to all of my clients? It’s got lists and local provider recommendations for days!

Hey! I’m Kayla Kohl - doula and birth photographer. I’m passionate about helping all pregnant people trust their bodies, bond with their babies, and begin their postpartum journey with support so that they can parent from a place of peace. Currently I am in the process of becoming an IBCLC. I am working on my Infant Feeding Counselor course and am on track to be certified in June. Once I’m certified, I will be gathering 500 hours of supporting families with their lactation goals. I would love the opportunity to support you!

If you’re planning a hospital birth there are tools you can use to help you labor. Check with your L&D floor to see what they offer. I highly recommend bringing your own labor comb, portable fan, and snacks.

I’m so excited to announce that come January 2025 I will be studying under to become an Infant Feeding Counselor. This is the first step (95 hours) in becoming an IBCLC! My hope is to complete all educational requirements for becoming an IBCLC in 2026 and then begin obtaining my hours.

And a huge thank you to for being the best IBCLC in Omaha and helping me figure out my path! Your time is so valuable, thank you friend!
