having a doula can:

✨ decrease pain & anxiety levels during pregnancy, labor, & postpartum
✨ guarantee continuous emotional support for the mother & partner
✨boost oxytocin production by utilizing comfort measures
✨enhance mobility throughout the birth journey
✨ensure evidence-based care & information to best understand the course of labor

often times, by having a doula present who understands the value these measures hold, there is:

✨an improved satisfaction with the birth experience
✨a shortened duration of labor
✨a reduced usage of epidurals, cesareans, and other interventions (ie: pitocin, narcotics, vaginal instruments, etc.)

What is a doula & why are they important for your birth journey? 👉👉

A DOULA…

〰 is a caregiver & companion for the mother, husband, & birth partners by continuous emotional support & physical comfort during pregnancy, birth, & postpartum.
〰 acknowledges that birth is a special moment that a mother will remember all her life. The doula‘s role is to nurture & protect a mother‘s memory of her birth experience.
〰advocates for the woman and her partner in their birth plan. She assist in preparation, obtaining information, & is an objective viewpoint for decisions made in labor.
〰 understands the physiology of birth. She provides evidence-based care options for physical comfort needed by a woman in labor.
〰understands the emotional needs of a woman in labor. She provides consistent emotional support to the mother, husband, & birth partner.
〰facilitates valuable communication between the mother, partner, & care providers.

My name is Genevieve Eleanor & I am a professional birth doula trained through .

This journey has been so powerful & formative — I could not be more grateful.

Through my training I have learned why I am called to serve women, mothers, & the whole family through birth work. It is quite simple — they absolutely deserve to have such a blessed moment be remembered as one that is full of encouragement, support, understanding, patience, love, kindness, & all things good.

Everyone’s birth plan & life story is unique.
Everyone deserves an advocate by their side, especially in a moment such as birth.

As a doula, my mission in serving is to:
