October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and at QLI, we’re coming together to honor the fighters, celebrate survivors, and promote the importance of early detection.

On Wednesdays, We Wear Pink! Every Wednesday this month, we wore pink to show our support and raise awareness for breast cancer.

A big shoutout to Amaya Butler for planning this year's initiative. "I’ve always felt a connection to raising awareness for breast cancer. I started volunteering and prepping pink events every October when I was younger—it’s something really near and dear to my heart."

As an injured Ferguson police officer continues his recovery, he is getting a big boost of support from a national organization.

The Wounded Blue, a nonprofit that helps injured and disabled law enforcement officers, will dedicate one of its staffers to visit with Travis Brown as he continues rehabilitation in Omaha, Nebraska.

Just weeks from graduating from the University of California Berkeley with a degree in data science, Bandna Bhatti’s life changed in an instant after her spinal cord injury.

With resilience and support from QLI’s Life Path Services team, Bandna is recapturing, her future, one serve at a time.

Spooky season launched at QLI with a group of spirited and creative volunteers from Right at Home. With yards of colorful ribbon, gallons of paint, and a roomful of laughter, our East Campus residents crafted seasonal decor to accent their living spaces.

We’re grateful to these wonderful volunteers for sharing their time and talents with us.

Last Friday, Officer Travis “TJ” Brown of the Ferguson Police Department was awarded the Blue Heart by The Wounded Blue along with his chief, Troy Doyle.

TJ’s recovery at QLI has inspired us all. It’s an honor to serve TJ and his family and host this extraordinary ceremony on our campus. Thank you for your service, TJ!
