Coming Back Stronger: Miles’ Story 💪
After knee replacement surgery, Miles committed to his recovery. He completed physical and occupational therapy, and kept going by joining fitness classes to maintain and build his strength. Today, Miles says he feels even stronger than before surgery. ⭐His surgeon recommended exercise to keep progressing, and Miles took that advice seriously. His lower body, upper body, and core are all stronger. At one point, he needed help putting on his compression socks. Now, he does it independently, a powerful sign of progress and renewed independence.
The benefits go beyond the physical. Miles says the classes have boosted his mental health, helping him feel energized. Just as meaningful are the friendships, laughter, and sense of community he finds in every class.
Before moving to Ovation, exercise wasn't a passion of his. Now, he’s all in! You’ll find Miles in Strength & Balance, Chair Yoga, Upper Body Strength Express, and Ball Drumming — and getting extra time on the NuStep whenever he can.
Miles story is proof that true dedication and an environment built to support your goals can make for a strong, healthy retirement!
