Different types of hand arthritis = different types of procedures! 👋

✨Procedures & Candidates✨

— Arthroplasty —
Replaces the damaged joint with an artificial implant. This treatment is designed to alleviate pain and restore shape and basic function.

— Knuckle Arthroplasty —
Repairs the knuckles at the base of the fingers, also known as metacarpophalangeal or MCP joints, which are often more affected by Rheumatoid Arthritis.

— Proximal Interphalangeal Arthroplasty —
Used to treat the second finger joints, which can be prone to stiffness and impaired range of motion. Dysfunction in these joints frequently results from osteoarthritis.

— Arthrodesis —
Commonly used to treat arthritis discomfort in the distal interphalangeal joints near the ends of the fingers.
