✨What can Hip Arthroscopy be used to treat?

Hip arthroscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to view and treat the hip joint without large incisions. It is less invasive than open surgery and causes less impact on surrounding tissues.

Hip Arthroscopy can be used to treat:
• Femoroacetabular Impingement (FAI)
• Hip Dysplasia
• Snapping Hip Syndrome

Are you at risk for developing Frozen Shoulder? 🧊💪

Frozen shoulder, or adhesive capsulitis, occurs when the capsule of connective tissue enclosing the shoulder becomes inflamed to the point that scarring develops, restricting movement.

— Common Symptoms —
• Increasing pain with movement
• Pain that may disrupt sleep
• Stiffness in later stages; pain may lessen
• Decreased range of motion

— Risk Factors —
• Age 40+
• Born female
• Restricting shoulder movement after surgery, stroke, etc.
• Diabetes
• Overactive or underactive thyroid
• Cardiovascular disease
• Parkinson's disease

Fingers not quite straightening out? It could be Dupuytren’s contracture. 🖐️

Also known as Viking hand disease, Dupuytren’s contracture causes thickened tissue to form under the skin of the palm—gradually pulling one or more fingers inward over time. It often starts with small nodules and can eventually lead to permanent finger curling if left untreated.

— Common Signs —
• Thickened or puckered skin on the palm
• Small, firm nodules under the skin
• Fingers (often ring and pinky) slowly bending toward the palm
• Difficulty laying the hand flat on a table

— Risk Factors —
• Family history
• Middle-aged men, especially of Northern European descent
• To***co & alcohol use
• Diabetes & epilepsy
