From thinking surgery was the only option to finding us at Greco PT to 7 weeks later being cleared for return to pitching. We are so proud and excited for this athlete!!!

The pec minor muscle can cause increased tension and reduced mobility for the shoulder girdle when it is chronically tight or restricted. Here is another variation we will use with athletes to help increase the blood flow to that muscle and improve more of the ability for the shoulder to get into the ranges required for overhead movement/throwing/pitching

Let us know if you try this out!

I’m incredibly honored to be recognized by America’s Best in Medicine as a 2025–2026 honoree in Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation here in Omaha.

Thank you to every patient who has walked through our doors, every parent who has referred a teammate, and every coach who has trusted us with their players. You’re my “why.” 💙⚾️

Start with the area the athlete needs more focus by reverse engineering the movement patterns

Then build reps so this becomes the “new” dominant movement pattern (we don’t create these movements by building on the old one, we create them in the brain by having a NEW neural network which is reiterated enough times that it becomes the dominant movement pattern and the “old” habit will die off).

Start with simple basics then build up 💪🏽

Chronically restricted or tight areas don’t need more stretching!!! They need load in a lengthened position. Here’s an option for the hip flexors!

11/28/2025

Grip strength/forearm strength is paramount for overhead athletes and especially pitchers!

Why?

The forearm flexor muscle group attaches in the exact same spot as the ulnar collateral ligament aka the Tommy John ligament. This muscle group is active or “turns on” when we have the proper deceleration pattern (NOT a linear movement pattern). This requires pronation, shoulder IR and adduction.

Here’s an example of an easy way to implement forearm strengthening. Draw the alphabet with your hand while holding against resistance.

So proud of our Coach Greco (Dad) for his induction into the 2025 Nebraska High School Sports Hall of Fame! We may be a little bit biased 😜 but extremely well deserved!

Coach Greco demonstrates the highest integrity with an impeccable work ethic. One of the best parts of being his kids is that we were witness to that for his whole coaching career. Congrats Coach!
