From nervous giggles in kinesiology lab to river tubing, Jayda Starks and Josie Kirby have been through it all together 💙

They met as lab partners last spring and instantly clicked—sharing laughs, late-night study sessions and endless encouragement through one of the toughest semesters.

Jayda shared: “We both had nervous giggles during our first kinesiology practicum, but Josie encouraged me and offered to go first with the physical assessment—even after I lost rock, paper, scissors. That’s when I knew we’d be great friends.”

Josie adds: “Jayda is so caring and always makes sure everyone is taken care of. She’s the biggest advocate for others, and I admire that so much.”

Whether it’s tackling group projects, cheering each other on or just sending funny TikToks after a long day, these two prove that the best part of grad school is the friendships that carry you through. ✨
