Look who is wearing bespoke shoes and dropping knowledge? It’s therapy day. She wasn’t too mean and actually agreed with one thing I said. Which was the coffee was good!!!😊 This session was really a rambling mix of how grief continues to be absorbed into my fabric of my heart and soul. We also talked about boundaries and surrounding yourself with the people YOU want around. We talked about how you can create a protective space for ME. We talked about letting go of people and things….gently and kindly and not the scorched earth that I can do ….The evolution of gentleness to oneself and go be ok with it. She SEEMS to know what she is doing. I will continue to go back. The ability to care for myself is becoming more and more vital and important. So, I shall return. Extra hot latte in hand. Onward. 5 years today…Babe left this Earth. 🌏. I went and left flowers and visited where my parents are buried. It still hits the same. The loss…but the memories of her death become more muted and foggy. Sometimes, the memories come back and hit so viscerally, it takes my breath away. These 5 years have been rough for everyone. What I have learned in these 5 years is I have more empathy. I show up to the funeral now. I have a deeper understanding when people talk about caring for their loved ones. Every emotion that goes with that journey. I have changed in ways that continue to challenge me. I lost friendships in the beginning because I was unmoored from the Earth. I allowed myself the whole experience of grieving Babe without alcohol or denial. It was the worst year, but I felt it ALL. In the end, I just miss my Mom. She was a colossal pain in my ass, passive-aggressive: she was never direct…I feel that is why I am so direct. It’s easier for everyone to know where they stand 🥰 ( much to Babe’s horror) and Grief is a constant: it ebbs and flows and it becomes a part of who you are. You may not always have them in the front of your mind every day….but they are in your heart and soul. A toast to Babe….she was a real Dame…..and who doesn’t love Babe????? ❤️💜❤️💜🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰❤️💜❤️💜❤️💜
