Happy St. Patrick’s Day! ☘️ We are so lucky to have the staff and the residents that we do and even more lucky to have a community around them! The students at Quest Forward High School - Omaha made shamrock centerpieces and a “Lucky to Have You” art display for our seniors. Thanks to the students and staff that support and show love to our facility!

Opera Omaha is back for a new season at the Tower and we kicked things off with some really fun exercises. The residents had the chance to act out some prompts today without using words and trying to portray feelings with body language (which they rocked!) The session ended with using these little wooden mannequins and animals show “power” and “celebration”. I am so proud of the way they embrace the silly and show off their creativity! And by the way, how amazing is the tiny stage that our Opera fellows made to showcase the pieces!

Even though the snow was falling and the cold was doing its very best outside ❄️, our Christmas Cheer event inside was pure warmth and joy. 🎄✨
Residents came down to share smiles, laughter, and good company, while our wonderful volunteers filled the room with helping hands and holiday spirit. To make the afternoon extra special, our talented cello player, Leah Schwartz, provided the most beautiful, cozy soundtrack—music that felt like a warm blanket for the soul. 🎻❤️
It was one of those moments that reminds us what the season is really about: connection, kindness, and celebrating together. Thank you to everyone who helped turn a snowy day into such a cheerful, memorable one.

Making some gourd-geous centerpieces. We used the small gourds/pumpkins from Hobby Lobby to make little chickens and turkeys and then decorated them with fall foliage and decorations. They turned out really cute!

Yesterday we rounded up the crew for our Haunted Hoedown — western wear meets spooky flair! Between the cowboy hats, boots, and ghostly giggles, it was a rootin’-tootin’ good time at the Tower.
We’re not saying we’d survive a haunted rodeo… but we’d definitely do it in style! 🐴💀🎶

Monday we squashed any doubts about our Spirit Week spirit — everyone looked absolutely gourd-geous in orange and green for Pumpkin Day! From bright blazers to cozy sweaters, the halls were full of autumn color and pumpkin pride. 🍂🧡💚
Our residents sure know how to make every day feel like fall at its finest!

I always fall a little behind during Spirit Week, but it’s worth it when the days are this fun! Today we’re celebrating the most iconic Halloween feline — the black cat — by wearing black and purple.
