Did you know that cervical cancer screening guidelines have been updated? This month, we've partnered with our friends at Teal Health to tell you all about it! You now have the option to screen from home or continue screening in-clinic.

Both ways are accurate, but now you can choose.
We have 3 simple asks this month:
1️⃣ Know your screening options.
2️⃣ Schedule your screening or put a reminder on the calendar.
3️⃣ Tell the group chat (because friends don't let friends skip screenings).

See which option is right for you at YourScreeningOptions.com

💛 Cervical cancer screening saves lives.
Native women are more likely to develop cervical cancer—but anyone with a cervix is at risk. The good news? Early screening can save your life.

If you’re between ages 21–65+, talk with a health care provider about the cervical cancer screening options that are right for you—and encourage your loved ones to do the same.

Don’t have a provider? We’ve got you covered.

As we talk about Turquoise Thursday this month, we want to emphasize our goal behind everything we do: you, relatives.

One of the most powerful ways to honor your health is by getting screened! Early detection plays a huge part in treatability in the cancer journey.

This Cervical Cancer Awareness month, we're asking you to stand with us and pledge to get screened! Take the pledge at the link below and let us know you're committed to protecting your health. Together, we can change the future of health in Indian Country! 🫶

Serving the urban Indian community since 1986

The Nebraska Urban Indian Health Coalition (NUIHC) is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization incorporated in the State of Nebraska. We provide community health care and services targeting the urban American Indian and Alaska Native population in the greater Omaha metropolitan area, Lincoln-Lancaster metropolitan area, and Sioux City, Iowa. We are state-recognized and our rehabilitative health care services are nationally accredited through the Commission on the Accrediation of Rehabilitation Facilities. Our diabetes self-management program is nationally accredited through the Diabetes Education Accrediation Program. We have been serving our community since 1986.

Although some services and programs are offered to eligible Native patients only, most primary care services are available to everyone regardless of race, color, s*x, national origin, disability, religion, s*xual orientation or inability to pay. NUIHC serves all patients and offers discounted fees to those who qualify. We accept most insurances including Medicaid, Medicare, Children’s Health Insurance Program and private insurance.
