Dr. Tracey recently completed 48 credit hours of pediatric adjusting training with absolute experts in the chiropractic field when it comes to pediatric care—Dr. Martin Rosen & Dr. Nancy Watson.

This training had a heavy focus on cranial work and intra-oral work. These new skills will help Dr. Tracey better serve her pediatric patients, especially those with feeding issues, oral ties, trouble sleeping, behavioral issues, and much much more.

We love treating kids at Harvest Chiropractic and with Dr. Tracey’s new skilllzzzzzz, she is even more passionate and confident about helping them w/ any issues they are experiencing!

PS from Dr. Tracey---Also such a special treat to see Dr. Rosen treat my kids! ☺️

We’ve had a few people ask us if are open at our new location— YES! Here’s our hours for both of our locations as a reminder.

You know who you are— but if you helped us move, lent us a truck/trailer, ran an errand for us, or entertained the kids—THANK YOU! Moving an entire office and then finding a place for everything, decorating, and fixing things all in one weekend was quite exhausting! (Dr. Tracey’s Oura ring data even shows how stressed her body was on moving day 😖🥱)

There’s still some finishing touches with decor and adding a couple more things but overall we are so happy with how everything turned out. We appreciate all the compliments on the space!

As always, you can schedule via phone at (402) 885-9296 or online via our website www.harvestchirone.com. See you soon!

Born at home July 24th, 2:45 am

Everything went great and Dr. Tracey is healing well! We really appreciate everyone’s well-wishes and our patients’ flexibility as we had to make some scheduling changes for the delivery and some time spent out of the office as a family.

Dr. James will be returning to the office this Wednesday, July 31st. Dr. Tracey will be taking a few months out of the office for her maternity leave. During this time, Dr. James will be covering her patients.

If you have not got back on the books, please contact the office via text or phone call at 402-885-9296. Our wonderful receptionist, Brooke, will get back to you as soon as she can!

First and foremost, don't let fear or worry about food or gaining weight ruin your experience. It's important to have a healthy relationship with food and not be afraid to enjoy yourself. Remember, the holidays are about bringing people together and creating memories, not just about the food.

1. When it comes to eating, try to prioritize proteins and vegetables in your meals. Fill your plate with those first before indulging in other dishes. If this is the one time of year you get to eat your favorite dish your mom makes, absolutely eat it!

2. Staying hydrated is important, so drink plenty of water throughout the day, especially if you’re going to be drinking alcohol or sugary beverages.

3. Stay active. If you can, incorporate some physical activity into your holiday routine. Take a walk after your meal or invite family and friends to join you for a workout. It's a great way to bond and stay active. If you're traveling, bring along some bands or create a quick 15 min bodyweight routine you can easily do in a pinch.

Follow these tips to stay ON the wagon this holiday season! This will set you up for success in the new year.

Ahhhh sleep 😄 — the most underrated thing to focus on to improve quite literally everything in your life. If you take one thing from this post, it should be to prioritize sleep. This starts once the sun goes down.

✅ Implement a nighttime routine to help you wind-down
✅ Dim lights, avoid screens or wear blue light blockers
✅ Try to avoid talking about work/family stress right before bed
✅ Focus on getting close to 7-8 hours of sleep
✅ Go to bed at a consistent time every night

Warming up before your workout seems common sense enough, but many people don’t know how to structure that to make it the most effective. You can absolutely do a little quick cardio to get your heart rate up. But if you are lifting weights, we highly encourage you to mimic the movements you will be doing in your workout within your warm up.

Improving mental health might be the surprising part of this post. Most people don’t associate that with increasing injury risk but it’s becoming apparent that physical and mental/emotional stress go hand-in-hand.

✅ Talk to a licensed mental health therapist if you are struggling. Thankfully seeing a therapist has become less of a stigma in today’s world.

Exercise is an extremely effective tool to help with mental health. Exercise improves mental health by positively impacting brain function, providing a sense of empowerment, and contributing to overall physical well-being.

✅ Make sure to use your workouts as a way to complement your mental health rather than to punish yourself. More does not always equal more in this case.

Yes and no…

Yes, many healthier foods are more expensive. Healthier restaurants tend to cost more. Specialty stores w/ specialty products are more expensive. And food prices just in general are at an all-time high. BUT, there are affordable options for those who need to eat healthy on a budget.

If you want to go fairly cheap, shoot for basic staples like rice, dry beans, canned tuna, milk, eggs, frozen veggies and fruits, ground beef, and frozen chicken. You can find these things at basically every grocery store. Also, if you buy some of these in bulk, you’ll save even more $$.

It’s important to note that eating healthier doesn’t have to mean buying exclusively organic or non-GMO products. Those options may be more expensive, but they are not necessary for a healthier diet, especially if you’re just starting out and your diet consists of mostly processed food.

Prioritizing whole, unprocessed foods can go a long way in improving your health without breaking the bank.

Remember, the cost of unhealthy food can add up in terms of healthcare expenses and decreased productivity, so investing in your health now can save you money in the long run.

Comment 👋🏼 below if you’re struggling to eat healthy on a budget.
