If you're looking at a fun event to take your kids to tonight, Nebraska Wildlife Rehab has a bat release tonight with bats over Omaha.

You might even spot Ms. Melissa and Mr. Jesse there with their kids!

One of our most beloved patients at NWR are native bats that come into our care over the course of the winter, and each spring we look forward to seeing them take flight in the wild!

This week, our speech and occupational therapy sessions are going green with fun, Earth Day–themed activities! From sensory play inspired by nature to engaging speech exercises focused on caring for our planet, we’re celebrating all things Earth while supporting growth, communication, and independence. 🌱💬

Our therapists are incorporating hands-on learning, creativity, and movement to help kiddos connect with the world around them in meaningful ways. Think planting, recycling games, nature-inspired crafts, and more!

We love creating experiences that are not only therapeutic, but also spark curiosity and awareness about the world we live in. 🌍💚

✨ Investing in Growth for Our Families ✨

We’re proud to share that our owner, Melissa Bradley-Potter, will be attending a professional development training today titled **“Advocacy, Leadership, and Lived Experience.”**

This training—hosted through **Munroe-Meyer Institute at UNMC**—focuses on empowering families to use their voices and lived experiences to help improve programs and services across the state. It also provides meaningful opportunities to build connections within state and national disability programs, helping us better support the children and families we serve 💙

While Melissa is away this morning, sessions will continue as scheduled with **Ms Courtney **—a familiar and fun face our patients know and love! 😊

We’re always committed to learning, growing, and advocating for the families in our community. Stay tuned as we bring back new insights to continue providing the best care possible!

🍀 **St. Patrick’s Day Theme Week at Blue Door Pediatric Therapy!** 🌈

All week long we’re celebrating **St. Patrick’s Day** with fun, themed activities during our **speech and occupational therapy sessions!** Our therapists are adding a little extra luck and creativity to help keep kids motivated while working on important developmental skills.

This week our kiddos may be:
🌈 Following **rainbow obstacle courses** to work on balance and coordination
🍀 Practicing **speech sounds and language skills** with silly leprechaun games
💰 Hunting for **hidden gold coins** while strengthening fine motor skills
📚 Reading **St. Patrick’s Day stories** to build vocabulary and comprehension
🎨 Creating **lucky crafts** that support hand strength and motor planning

Themed weeks make therapy **engaging, playful, and meaningful**, helping children build skills while having fun.
