Shark week at Blue Door just got even more exciting! Fire alarms went off in our building and the firefighters from Omaha Fire Station #52 responded quickly and discovered our new neighbors left a theatrical smoke machine plugged in 🤷🏼‍♀️ We’re glad that everyone is safe and we are thankful for the great team at OFD 52! 💥 Fireworks and Fourth of July festivities can be exciting! It however, can also be particularly challenging for children with sensory sensitivities. Loud noises, bright lights and the unknown can all be overwhelming

To help in preparation we wanted to share some tips with you ❤️

⭐️Items like a sensory pack, communication board and a Fourth of July social story can make all the difference

Miss Melissa left her keys at home twice last week and this week has had her keys locked in her office AND locked them in her office. It’s only Tuesday. Luckily our team knows how to help her out when her keys go missing, now she has to send proof of keys pictures when she leaves the office! Anyone else have this problem?

That’s a wrap on baseball week! Omaha families, did you know that we are lucky enough to have an AllPlay Miracle Buddy Baseball League that is free? Children ages 3-12 are welcome in the junior league, and 12-20+ for the senior league. These games are fun and for kids of all abilities! Fall league player registration is now open for the 6 week fall season from August 9 - September 13.
