GO BIG RED!
What a fantastic turnout for our Go Big Red Tailgate Party! The weather was on our side—sunny skies, a cool fall breeze, and the mouthwatering aroma of hot dogs on the grill welcomed everyone into a lively courtyard celebration. Decked out in red and white, residents showed their Husker spirit in style. We wrapped up the festivities with football shuffleboard and a fun photo-op station that had everyone smiling.

And now? The first game of the season kicks off tomorrow—here at Sunridge Village, we’re more than ready! 🏈❤️

Aloha, Summer Fun! 🌺

Is there a better way to say goodbye to summer than with a luau-inspired dinner, cocktails, and music? Our dining room was transformed into a tropical paradise with tiki decorations, colorful birds, and grass skirts. Residents swayed to the tropical tunes of Dick Keiser and sipped on delicious drinks. It was the perfect way to end our summer celebrations with one unforgettable “Aloha” party!

Could not have asked for a better day out with the Sunridge Residents and staff. We went for a scenic dive to have lunch at the Ponderosa Bar in Elk City for their BOGO Burgers (buy one burger and get one free). We were not disappointed with the burgers, they were delicious. Next, I wanted to show them the Little White Church and City Hall. It really is a cute venue, Lastly, we stopped off at Julian’s Produce off 156th and Fort. Where some residents stocked up on fruits and vegetables.

Last night was a beautiful night for Sunridge Out Door Concert with Billy Troy! We had a great turn out with the residents, family and friends and we cooled off with the Kona Ice Truck. Thank you Leslee from Angels Care Home Health for the bottle of water and popcorn. It was a great night!!

Today in honor of the 4th of July we invited Ben Franklin aka Ron Chvala to stop by and give a historical talk. The residents loved watching history come alive in his one man play. He was fantastic!

Welcome to Summer!

Sunridge Village Retirement Community kicked off summer in style at its annual Garden Party. The dining room décor surrounded the residents with vine-covered trellises, pots of flowers, and fluttering butterflies.

Chef Julie served up a delicious and delightful menu that was complemented with a variety of summer cocktails. Pamela Sue’s musical performance set the perfect mood, infusing the garden party with unforgettable songs and cherished memories.

As summer arrives, Sunridge Village continues to bloom—not just in our courtyard gardens, but in the hearts of everyone who calls it home. Here’s too sunny days, shared stories, and many more joyful moments together.

Over by the River to Heron Bay We Go!! In Springfield Ne. We first made a stop at the Robins Nest for a little shopping. Then off to Heron Bay for lunch. After was a stop at Dairy Queen for some ice cream. FUN FILLED DAY FOR SURE!!

What a GREAT outing to the Alpine Inn!! Food was fantastic and the raccoons entertaining us during lunch was a plus.

It’s Teatime!

Sunridge Village Retirement Community’s ladies shared a special hour just for them. They enjoyed a delightful afternoon filled with music, laughter, and an elegant tea that included sweet treats, savory bites, and, of course, the favorite teas from the Tea Smith.

Kim Meyer’s played her enchanting harp music that set the tone for a relaxing and refined gathering with friends.

Had a lovely outing to the Corvette Cafe for a fantastic brunch/lunch. Chef Ryan & Chef Dan always super welcoming. If you are not familiar with Corvette Cafe it is inside the Gregg Young dealership 17750 Burt Street.

What a wonderful day for an outing to the Joslyn Art Museum and lunch at the cafeteria. The residents enjoyed seeing the new addition and the older part too. I heard lots of reminiscing of past visits. Staff was so helpful and right now it is free admission.

Happy Cinco de Mayo here at Sunridge Village. Not only did we have a wonderful Mexican dish served at dinner with margaritas we also celebrated a residents Birthday as well. Happy Birthday Donna!!
Tuesday Sunshine Entertainers were here at 1:00pm to perform. And at 2:00pm we had No Fried Fried Ice Cream social.
