Our VP of IT/Special Projects, Brian Galloway, and Director of Managed Services, Steve Simmonds, had a great time representing FBG at CBRE’s Global Workplace Solutions Conference this week in Dallas, TX.

The conference brings together industry leaders focused on innovation, technology and best practices in workplace management. As a trusted partner managing facility operations across the country, FBG was proud to connect and be part of the conversation on creating cleaner, safer and more efficient environments.

It's Employee Ownership Month and we're celebrating with Trivia Tuesday each week throughout October! This week's trivia question asked, "Who founded and introduced the idea of employee ownership to FBG?" The correct answer: Wayne Simmonds. All employees who answered correctly were entered into a drawing for a $50 gift card to our online apparel store. Congratulations to Cedar Rapid's Jeffrey Spittell, this week's lucky winner!

Who first brought employee ownership to FBG? Wayne Simmonds.

In 1968, after becoming FBG’s sole proprietor, Wayne immediately shared that ownership with key employees including Sales Manager Dick Matthews, Bookkeeper Kae Turco and Operations Manager Dave Carter. He believed that when you own the company, you are truly invested in its success.

That vision of shared ownership shaped FBG’s growth and culture and remains a defining part of who we are today.

For more than two decades, Dennis Breuer has brought unmatched dedication and care to his role as Facility Manager with FBG for Mediapolis Community School District. From managing building operations to volunteering his own time and resources for special projects, Dennis’ impact can be seen across the district. His story is one of service, pride and commitment to the schools he has called home for many years.

For more than 20 years, Dennis Breuer has been a cornerstone of Mediapolis Schools.
