Post-Op Comfort Food: Healing Beef Stew π₯£
Looking for something warm, filling, and oral-surgery friendly? This slow-simmered beef stew is soft, nourishing, and easy to adjust as you heal- no rice, grains, or tiny pieces that could cause irritation.
Why it works after oral surgery:

Ingredients:
β’ 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
β’ 1Β½ lb beef chuck roast, cut into large chunks
β’ 1 small yellow onion, quartered
β’ 3 cloves garlic, smashed (optional)
β’ 3 large Yukon gold potatoes, peeled & chunked
β’ 2 large carrots, peeled & chunked
β’ 4 cups low-sodium beef broth
β’ Β½ tsp salt
β’ ΒΌ tsp black pepper (optional)
β’ Β½ tsp dried thyme or rosemary
β’ Β½ cup heavy cream or whole milk (optional)
Instructions:
1οΈβ£ Brown beef in oil or butter over medium heat.
2οΈβ£ Add onion and garlic; cook 2-3 minutes.
3οΈβ£ Add potatoes, carrots, broth, and seasonings.
4οΈβ£ Simmer low & slow for 2-2Β½ hours until everything is very tender.
5οΈβ£ Shred beef finely and blend part (or all) of the stew for desired texture.
6οΈβ£ Stir in cream gently, and enjoy.
Post-Op Tip:
Days 1-3? Blend completely.
Days 4-7? Leave it slightly chunky- but very soft.
