This we say thank you to Nurture Omaha, LLC for their incredible support with the lactation room for the evening and their donation of a breast pump for the expecting mom!!!

Nurture Omaha, LLC is a local support center in Omaha, Nebraska, providing specialized services for prenatal and postpartum families, with a focus on lactation and child safety.

Services & Offerings
Lactation Support: Consultations are provided by International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC) for breastfeeding and bottle-feeding concerns.
Education Classes: Offers prenatal breastfeeding and car seat safety classes (e.g., "Nurture & Protect").
Safety & Equipment:
Certified car seat checks and installation education.
Distribution of insurance-covered breast pumps and accessories.
Support Groups: Facilitates parenting support groups open to all families, regardless of feeding method.
Eco-Friendly Initiatives: Operates recycling programs for used breast pumps and car seats.

Our giveaway yesterday sparked a lot of interest! You all seemed to love Growing Sprouts so much - so we decided to do something about it!!

There are 30+ babies and children currently in the PICU/NICU at Children’s Hospital here in Omaha. So, we are partnering with Growing Sprouts with one simple goal: to make sure every one of them has a soft, warm blanket to bring a little comfort during a really hard season—both literally and metaphorically.

Our prize this BINGO is a muslin cotton and waffle knit baby blanket by the wonderful Growing Sprouts! This blanket is white with black polka dots on one side, and the waffle knit is a soft neutral light blue! These blankets aren’t only adorable, they support local children. For every blanket purchased, they donate one to a child in the hospital. They’ve donated over 650 blankets so far! This blanket was purchased by us so that another child received a blanket at Children’s Hospital!

Our prize this BINGO is perfect for when your baby is a little bit older! This silicone teething toy suction cups to the table and has the perfect little nubs on it for oral function help! We also are adding on some of our favorite spoons for starting solids! They have a hole in the middle that perfectly picks up the right amount of puree/mashed foods so that baby can self feed and not spill as much as a loaded spoon! They also work great as teething toys. ;)

2025... While it was one of the toughest years to date, it was one of the best!

Some cool things we did:

🥳 We brought on a new employee and IBCLC - Angie! She's an incredible human and I can't wait to see what she does in 2026!

🚗 Melanie celebrated 10 years of being a CPST (Child Passenger Safety Technician) and helping families install car seats and learn about car seat safety!

Other fun facts:

💦 99% of patients we sizes for flanges went DOWN in size! 16mm was our most common size this year!

🍼 10 bottle refusal babies, with a 100% success rate of taking a bottle after working with us!

It was a pretty great year, and we are so excited to see where 2026 takes us! We are ready for growth, new opportunities, and expanded access for our patients to get high-quality breast pumps and in-home lactation support!

We had such a great time today at Newborn Workshop today!! 👶🍼 So many families were shocked to hear that IN HOME lactation support is 100% covered for most insurance plans!! 🤱💦 They were also relieved to hear that we take the guess work out of picking a breast pump. You can speak directly with an IBCLC to determine what pump is best for your situation.
