A little about me:
I began my healthcare career working as a CNA at the age of 16. I now has 30 years of experience working in the healthcare field with seniors. I received my Certified Nursing Assistant in 1994, my Medication Aide in 2003 from Central Community College; in 2008 I received her Associate of Arts Degree in Pre-Professional Nursing and received her LPN diploma from Central Community College in 2012.
In 2015, I received my Assisted Living Administrator’s License and was the LPN/Administrator at Prairie View Assisted Living in Tilden, Nebraska. I have also been secretary of the northeast district of the Nebraska Assisted Living Association and was the Regional Ambassador for the License Practical Nursing Association of Nebraska in the Region 3 District which served 4 counties in her area. I have also served on the Education Committee, Government Relations Committee and the Care Pac Committee with the Nebraska Health Care Association. She is currently serving her 5th year on the Nebraska State Board of Nursing. My other accomplishments have included:

• 2017 Recipient of the American Healthcare Association/National Center for Assisted Living
Bronze National Quality Award for Commitment to Quality
• Associate Member of the Nebraska Healthcare Association
• 2018-2019 LEAD (Lead-Excel-Advance-Develop) Program Member
• 2019-2020 LEAD (Lead-Excel-Advance-Develop) Program Member Mentor
• Keynote Speaker at the 2020 Research and Evaluation Conference on Self-Sufficiency on behalf of
Health Professionals Opportunity Grant
• Currently serving on the Center for Nursing Foundation Board
In 2019, my husband Rich & I moved to Elkhorn and I worked for Methodist Orthopedics. In 2023 I joined the Agemark family and was hired as the Director of Nursing at Symphony Pointe in Elkhorn.
I have four children: Lisa Dohmen lives in Elkhorn, NE; Austin & wife Erin Dohmen live in Norfolk, NE; Shelby Dohmen lives in Lincoln and Ervin Dohmen lives in Sioux City, IA. I also have a grandson named Logan.
I have always enjoyed working with seniors and it is a very rewarding job. Knowing that I can put a smile on someone’s face everyday and make a difference in their lives, is truly an honor.
