Colds happen! 🦠 Did you know your child might get up to 6 colds per year, each lasting about 7 to 10 days? 📅 Beyond Care Pediatrics will be closed on:

Thursday, November 27th & Friday, November 28th – Thanksgiving

Wednesday, December 24th & Thursday, December 25th – Christmas

Wednesday, December 31st – closing at 12 noon

As ragweed pollen, mold spores, and other allergens rise in the fall months in Nebraska, many children begin experiencing classic allergy symptoms. Staying proactive and consistent with treatment can make a big difference.

🍃Environmental control: Keep windows closed on high-pollen days; use air conditioning. Use HEPA filters indoors. Wash bedding weekly in hot water.
🧼Hygiene habits: Let children change clothes and take a shower after outdoor play. Wipe down surfaces to reduce indoor allergen accumulation.
👃🏻Non-drug aids: Use saline nasal rinses or sprays to help clear irritants and moisturize nasal passages.
💊Medication & treatment consistency: Use prescribed allergy meds exactly as advised (daily, even when symptoms are mild). Don’t skip doses just because your child seems better — consistency helps prevent flare-ups.
